The service was excellent, the only downside was we booked a garden room but when we arrived there was a wedding party in the garden which meant we could not sit out on our garden area and enjoy the weather

Hotel of the Year - I don't think so!I chose Harts because it was billed as Hotel of the Year and Runner Up Hotel of the Year. It must be FAB I thought. How disappointed when I entered Room 24 to be greeted with tired, shabby looking furniture with basic bed linen and only 2 hangers each! To top it off the toilet seat fell off. It was supposed to be a romantic evening out for my hubby's birthday so spending that little bit extra on a great hotel didn't matter to me. I could have saved a few quid and got a nicer room at the Holiday Inn.

Very well presented and designed hotel, but overpriced for the size and quality of the room. Food and drink similarly over-priced and almost all vegetarian options unavailable. Only offering from the bar menu was a potato omelette (restaurant full) - amended to include mushrooms and peppers which then arrived minus the mushrooms and peppers. Front of house staff very friendly and helpful.

A nice boutique hotelA nice boutique hotel with good customer service. Be aware that the car park is tiny (8 spaces for the whole hotel), it was a real pity that the menu for the restaurant was disappointing (to the point that we didn't eat there).

'Old' BoutiqueHarts still tries hard to be better, but other boutique hotels have the advantage of starting later. It is a problem with being so modern; quite soon it seems rather dated and is no longer unique. Parking can be a problem here as it is elsewhere in Nottingham. The quiet position overlooking The Park is excellent, and still just a short walk to the town centre. The restaurant is very good though the food presentation is over the top. Some rooms are tiny (especially the discounted rooms).

Harts, Nottingham (ETS Training)Beautiful hotel; a little care-worn in my room with wardrobe doors marked and an old television with poor reception; I wasn't told by receptionist on arrival that I had to put my card in a slot for the lights. Disappointed to have to ring downstairs to ask for the jazz music to be turned down from the bar, I didn't realise my room was above the bar. The restaurant made a mistake with my order on the second night which meant that instead of eating at 7:00pm it was 8:15. Having said that, the food was superb, possibly the best I've had for many years.

In the Hart of NottinghamFirst impressions very good, staff friendly and told me I had received an upgrade - excellent I thought till I found my room. It was really small and made me wonder how small the standard rooms must be. Lovely views over the city (I think that's the upgrade), but room decor was tired. Scuff marks on the walls and old style TV at an awkward viewing angle from the bed. Nice bathroom ans confy bed. Food was good from the bar (bar menu available as room service). On the whole it was a pleasant stay but I do feel this hotel is a tad pricey. Would consider again but not at full price - I paid 95 for the room only, which I felt was steep for what you get.

Can't be beaten in NottinghamExcellent location, rooms immaculate and very well presented. Reception staff were very quiet on check out, didn't ask how our stay was. This hotel can not be beaten for value for money however I would be happy to pay full price based on what we saw. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Harts StayI believe this hotel started as a restuarant and so it was disapointlng that on arival I found that the restaurant was fully booked. The bar menu isn't really sufficient if a meal is what you need.The hotel staff were lovely and the hotel well maintained and pleasant modern European style.Good value

Single night reviewBooking easily made on LateRooms and on arrival we were told we had been upgraded which was a bonus. We were made very welcome, the room was spotless and after walking around the centre of town looking where to eat in the evening we decided to treat ourselves to a meal in Hart's restaurant which, although expensive, was worth every penny. All round an excellent place to stay which we can recommend wholeheartedly.

A perfect business experienceThe hotel staff, particularly Amy the receptionist, were really helpful and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble and, together with the standard of room we had, it all added up to be the perfect business experience.
