Family WeddingHarrogate Motel is a slightly misleading title as the accommodation is several miles from the town. However, if you're travelling by car it's not too much of a problem but if you need taxis you can pay anything from £10 to £18 to get into town. Accommodation is more than adequate and being situated in the countryside - no early traffic to disturb your sleep. Breakfast is adequate - but don't expect a full English. But overall excellent value for money.

A good very clean basic accomodation. This our second stay within a matter of weeks and won't be the last. If you want a no frills get away from it break this is the ideal place. In beautiful suroundings on a large equestrian centre. Just the sound of peace and horses... bliss.

As expectedIt's good value for money though as you'd imagine a little basic. It's well out of Harrogate and so is very peaceful & the customer service is excellent.

two night break for wife's birthdayWe found the motel very clean, the staff were absolutely wonderful, could'nt do enough for you. The breakfast was excellent. The only thing we could find fault with was the plumbing could be noisy. We would definitley go there again.

Clean and friendly. We paid £40 for one night in a twin room. Breakfast was excellent for continental. You can have toast, cereal, muffins, pastries, cakes, fruit, yoghurts, tea/coffee and juices. We loved our stay here. Our room over looked the stables, which was nice to be able to watch the horses. The corridor to the room had windows all along which over looked a small practice show ground and you could see people on their horses doing the jumps etc. The motel itself is 3 1/2 miles (10-15 minute drive) from Harrogate Centre, but there are several pubs/restaurants within five minutes drive. The Black Swan Pub is the nearest, which is about a mile from the motel and serves excellent freshly made food until 9.30pm. The motel staff gave us a lift to the pub as the weather wasn't great when we stayed, but it could be a nice walk, although along country lanes. We found the place easy enough, but we did have sat-nav! A good place to stay for walkers, people who like horses and anyone after a relaxing break

Harrogate motel was clean and basic but what more do you expect for £40 a night?. It was in a lovely location but not for you if you dont like horses as it is in the middle of a riding centre. staff very friendly and was even given a lift from the hotel to the wedding we were attending to safe us getting a taxi which was a lovely gesture. Lots aof choice for breakfast and more than willing to give you what you want!. A fab little find will definately stay again if were up that way!

Harrogate MotelThe location was perfect, as it was in the middle of the countryside away from traffic noise so allowed a good nights sleep. The shower room was very small and hardly room to swing a cat. Also the shower itself was dangerous as not very easy to use and was very hot until you could adjust. The breakfast was very poor, in fact we almost had to look after ourselves, and were given the impression that we would have to do the washing up, not what you want when you are having a few days holiday. The owners were friendly, but felt they gave too much information away about other guests, not good at all!!

Basic but good value for money. A bit noisy at night as new guests arrived. Enjoyed the place, surroundings etc. Would use again if in that area.

Lovely Place, Great Value For MoneyAfter my stay here I would highly recommend it. The rooms were clean with everything working without problems. The people were very friendly and helpful. Having a lounge with free internet access was a big boon for me. The location is lovely, on a rural farm but still only a short drive from Harrogate and major roads going to Leeds etc.

A comfortable overnight stopMy wife and I stayed at the accomodation because we wanted to visit a nearby village. The slightly lower cost was a factor but we had read previous reviews and the accomodation met our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again. The room was adequately equipped and very comfortable and as part of a riding school it had a lovery rural feel to it. The weather was unkind to us but had it been better we would have enjoyed watching the riding activity going on around us. For us the greatest strength was the warm welcome from all the staff and the willingness by everyone to make our stay enjoyable.

Nurses' CongressI stayed at Harrogate Motel for the Royal College of Nursing Congress in May 2009. It was set in the beautiful surroundings of an Equestrian Centre. The staff were very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. However it was a little far out of town for congress thus I would recommend it to group travellers rather than lone travellers so they can share the cost of transport into Harrogate if they need to visit there for a conference.

Well pleased from WeymouthComfortable, adaquate room as expected of a budget, continental type motel room. Breakfast was a buffet style continental basis with some personal flavor. The staff were very friendly and helpfull, even offering to pick us up from the Black Swan(excellent food) when we said we were walking there and back, about 30 minutes through delightfull Yorkshire countryside, watching the swifts and swallows darting about. Motel is based on an equestrian centre and watching the schooling of the local children in the enclosed menage was enthralling over the 4 nights spent there.

Generally very shoddy. Terrible location. Poorly renovated farm. Tiny room with tiny hard bed. Heating came on and went off of its own accord. Unpredictable shower. Clock that didn't work next to a lamp that didn't work. Planned to stay for two nights but couldn't face the second. Shame because the staff were actually very friendly.
