The hotel is very clean and is in a perfect location for skiing(one block to Gondola)and sightseeing. I do wish they had a few more dining options.

The room was nice but the noise levels in the room were a little loud especially on the weekend. The staff was pleasant, but I wish we got a better view. Are room was over the parking garage.

We stayed here after staying one night at a terrible motel on the CA side. What a wonderful change. The bed was awesome, the view was excellent, and the room was clean and tastefully decorated. Our room had his/her bathrooms, both with small tvs. Room service was prompt and friendly. We paid only * more for this luxury room and felt it was a great value compared to where we stayed the night before.

The Harrah's Lake Tahoe hotel was a great place for my husband and I to celebrate our 1st anniversary. We enjoyed the dining, casino and I also was able to enjoy a nice body massage at the spa. The location was perfect for shopping and snow skiing. The hotel was so nice and comforting. The room service was also a plus.

This is a great place to stay, very convenient to everything, you would not even need a car and could walk to stores and even the Heavenly Lift, or take shuttle bus. The buffet is world class, the room service quick and excellent. Nice pool, too.

being from hawaii and getting a bit older (55) i was a little timid to go to the mainland especially such a glittery hotel, but the price was right and it was my sons 21st birthday going to college in reno, so he kinda made me go...im glad he did cuz ive never had such a great time in too many years to count as i had at harrahs..i thought hawaii people were freindly but the staff at this place know how to treat you right..from the restaurants to the casinos everyone was 'da best' im looking forward to visiting again the only bad thing is theres no surf.

Our room was lovely, well decorated and very restful. We loved the two full bathrooms, too. The room was very quiet and the view was great. We enjoyed the buffet at the hotel. The food was delicious and the service was great.

It was very close to the gondola and shopping places. However, my 8 y/o daughter vomited every time she walk in the lobby because of the horrible smell of cigarettes. Otherwise everything was good.

Lake Tahoe is beautiful and this was a great hotel to stay. My trip was part business and part fun. Meeting spaces were large, clean and effective. Hotel rooms were roomy (not just a bed, but also chairs, couch, end tables, coffee table and desk.) Two bathrooms was great (with the fun part of the trip we had 3 people in the room, so this was especially handy.) Tv's in the bathroom and nice hair & body products. Beds were very comfortable. Amazing view from the room of Heavenly village and part of the lake. Ate at Friday's Station and really enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere and great food. At Harvey's (there is a tunnel under the street so you don't even have to go outside!) we at The Sage which was also wonderful. Saw the Improve Comedy Show and could not stop laughing :) Overall a wonderful trip. Even hit up the Casino a bit and had a great time there. Super close to Heavenly, good gift shops, nice indoor pool, variety of dining options!

If you are above the tree line (10th floor or higher) the view is gorgeous, the ammenities are good (arcade, casinos, the buffet is only $13 bucks!!) so being only 4 big hotels in the heavenly aera, this one is great,

The property is very nice with great amenities. Rooms and common areas are a bit dated. However, everything is comfortable and clean. Food court is great for a quick meal. Starbucks in lobby comes in handy. Full service dining was good, but not great. Views from the restaurant on the top of the hotel are amazing.

Although the hotel/casino is not as special as it once was, with the his and hers bathrooms with TV's and phones etc., it still is the best place to stay at Tahoe. I wonder who keeps the TV's in working order, they are small units mounted to the sink counter and have to be 30 years plus old. The picture is pretty bad but they do turn on, some very very old tech. The room was very clean and the king bed very comfortable. It's nice that the two main casino's Harrahs and Harveys are connected via an underground tunnel so going back and forth is easy. The only negative comment would be that the food options are limited. There used to be a nice coffee shop/caffe in Harveys and another one in Harrahs and both are now closed. Now you must either go to some over priced special restaurant or a chain fast foot spot. Bottom line is that this is a very nice location and very nice room for the cost.

SO glad we called before we made our reservation and drove all the way down from Seattle! They allow SERVICE animals (like every other place in the world) but if you want to bring your own dog or cat they will need to stay in the kennel on the 1st floor. Oh and there was something about requiring a crate... which I was not clear if that was to be ours or theirs but not acceptable either way in our opinion.

For a casino, you don't have to go through the gambling parts of the hotel to get to your room which I really appreciate. Also, it's not even that smoky and I'm hyper-sensitive to smoke. The beds in the huge, ginormous rooms are really soft and if you like a soft comfortable bed, you will be in heaven. Did I mention the humongous rooms? I like space to spread out and with 2 bathrooms, a walk-in closet (I don't even have one of those at home), and a TON of extra sitting room in your room, you will be extremely comfortable. The best part of the rooms--the mirrors on both walls by the windows. Wherever you sit in the room you can catch a great view because of the mirrors. First of all, the mountains and the lake are beautiful--secondly--how thoughtful of them to make sure you're not missing a beat out there wherever you are.

The standard room proved to be very large with a couch, two arm chairs, coffee table, and desk. We requested a coffee pot and it was delivered within 10 minutes. They offered us a small fridge which we refused.(Turned out we should have accepted it as 6 of us spent two sessions in our room watching football games and eating deli sandwiches.) All six of us were comfortable with plenty of places to sit. We also liked the two bathrooms per room, each with its own TV. Our main objection to the hotel was the smoke in the casino.

I recently booked a room with Harrahs, everything was fine until the scheduler charged my account two times. In all they pulled over $800 from my bank account, for about 2 days I was trying to get a refund and I had talked to many people, even the manager wasn't any help because he was rude. It took about 4 days to get a refund, they then accidentally charged my account again, and they told me that they can refund it to me when I check in, when I checked in, I expected a cash refund, boy was I wrong, they didnt refund me til 3 days, later. Thanks to Harrahs, I was short on money for my trip with my family. I honestly will never stay there again. I could see if the employees were nice and understanding about their mistake but they were flat out rude.

The service at the check in desk including the bell hop and the valet parking was superb, however, we brought our children and did not realize that smoking is allowed,(we're from California), and everywhere you went in the hotel even the elevators and the arcade were filled with the stench of cigarette smoke. My children have asthma and I would not recommend it for them (children). I think this hotel/casino is mostly geared for the adults and couples. A great place for a romantic getaway. Great views of the lake, if you get a lake view room.

Wanted to take a short drive to somewhere nice to get away from worries of everyday life. Harrahs at Lake Tahoe was a great decision! We had a great view, the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we were able to check in three hours early. We enjoyed that we were able to go back and forth from Harveys to Harrahs for food and entertainment without having to go outside. The room was very clean. It was a great stay and we cant wait for our next visit! Did I mention that the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in while at a hotel.

The hotel was just ok,I expected it to be. The room was large but it is time for some updating. The carpet in my room had some runs in it and needed to be replaced not just vaccumed. The hotel food was just ok also with the midweek selection leaving something to be desired. lake Tahoe is a beautiful place just do not plan on spending to much time in the rooms.
