Date of Stay: July, 2009

The hotel was fine but there were a couple of things not mentioned, such as if you reserve for a kingsize bed you are not guranteed the room you ask for, you have to get there early to get the room you want. They gave us a double bed when we asked for a king then to make us feel better they said "we won't charge you for the bigger room!" Not to mention the room was bigger because it was for a handicap person. Sleeping in seperate beds from my husband was NOT romantic at all. In addition if you are traveling with a pet they claim to have a great kennel for the pets but it was horrible! The kennel looked like a janitor's closet and the cages were old are smelled so horrible like they never cleaned it! My dog had more hair from other pets on her then her own! I would never stay there again!

I always stay at Harrah's when on business in Reno. Staff is great, hotel is perfect for the price. My only recommendation is to put coffee pots in the East Tower rooms.

Nice older resort. Close to everything downtown. They have done well to maintain the property but are a ways from being caught up with updates. Nice friendly staff, mostly young. Rooms are quiet and clean.

Greatest group of Valet staffers, desk staff was friendly but the desk was under staffed check in took over 30 minutes - Dinning was first class

The room was very comfortable and relaxing. Getting from the front desk to the rooms was a little confusing but other than that it was wonderful. The valet parking people were very nice. And it was complimentry. Great bonus. The buffet was clean and very good food. We were not there very long due to an appointment.

Harrah's was great. Got upgraded at check-in. Great location for a skier and non-skier. There was always something to do--even when not "losing money". Everyone in hotel was friendly and helpful. Only complaint---needs new windows. While there, very windy one day...70-80 mph winds. Closed black-out drapes were moving with every gust of wind. Otherwise, great place to say....looking forward to going back!

I got this room as a surprised for my daughter and her boyfriend as they were attending a concert, when she went to check in the staff were the rudest she had ever dealt with

Secure. Smoke-filled, noisy. Noisy, smoke-filled hotel. Room better than expected but air-conditioner fan made noise on low setting. Food at Cafe Nape better than expected. Parking convenient. Car not disturbed. Must have good security.

We arrived a bit early and went to check in. I was worried I wouldn't be able to but they smailed and said no problem - and no extra charge! I had a little trouble navigating my way around because there are two towers. You have to go way out of your way to get to the elevator that takes you up to the room. Everybody was friendly, courteous, and the buffet was awesome! Its only been a week and we've contacted the hotel to reserve another weekend. The customer service agent we spoke to was very unprofessional and we did not make the reservation. I still like this hotel - one of the 3 nice ones on the strip! I will just stick with using Travelocity to make the reservation.

I liked the close proximity to downtown. I hated having to walk through to casinos in my gym clothes to find the fitness center. Then being charged $10 once I got there. Hotel staff was never to be found. The fitness center charged $10 which I thought was ridiculous to use a treadmill for 20 minutes. No snack vending machines on the premises. I won't be staying at a Harrah's again.

Beware-- although this hotel is listed as allowing pets, when I arrived I was told that they did not allow pets IN THE ROOMS, but they had kennels you could put your pet in. Do not stay here if you hope to keep your pet in the room with you!

When we checked in we were told we had a "King Smoking" room. I said we needed nonsmoking, and the clerk said they never guarantee that. All rooms are general ("run of the house"), and we got what was available. Fortunately, as the clerk put it, she found us a nonsmoking room. I have terrible allergies, so a smoking room would have been disastrous, and it seems we would have had no choice.

The hotel was the best I think you could get in reno-we were in the east tower and the room was very clean and well appointed. the staff was very friendly and check in and out was great- The only bad part is no safe in the room and the casino was kind of chincy

5th time to stay there love the location to bowling stadium and downtown, clean friendly helpful staff and will stay again in three years

Rooms were clean and service very good. Parking was free. Smoking is allowed in the lobby and casino area. We did not feel safe walking in the streets around the hotel.
