The front desk staff were extremely friendly, and our standard room was upgraded to a water front suite at no additional cost - bc of relative frequently staying there, and it being off season.

The staff upgraded us to a suite, which had a view. The decor was really outdated and the price was too much for what we got. With the price of the hotel, I expected a nice room. But the room was very outdated. The walls were covered in wall paper that was painted over (a cheap and tacky way to update decor). The tiles in the bathroom were dirty. The plumbing was backwards (hot was cold, cold was hot). When we walked into our room, there was a man servicing the refrigerator (awkward). But the staff was friendly, since they turned us away because our room wasn't ready. They upgraded us to a suite, with a view. The view was gorgeous! We went to the spa, and although we had a good time, they completely overcharge on all services. Overall, I was disappointed because price is usually an indication of what the hotel will be like, but with what we purchased the hotel room for, it really was a waste of money.

This hotel sits right on the water directly across from the Maritime Museum. The hotel was the perfect getaway. The room was fantastic (2 room suite).

Good location right on the water. Threadbare, run down, hardly a luxurious spa resort. Overall, my wife and I were very unimpressed. The location is good-right on the water but the hotel was generally threadbare and worn. The staff seemed nice enough but the glory days of this hotel, if there were any, have long since past. For the money, we would have expected nicer facilities (and we would not have expected the staff to mandate that we check out with a name and room number a simple towel for the pool).
