Take the Dingle road from Tralee to Camp. At Camp take the right hand road to Castlegregory (R560) Once through Castlegregory (a small village) follow the sign for Spillane's Seafood Bar. Spillanes is about four kilometres from the village and Harbour House is another two kilometres beyond Spillanes and the last house on the right before the Pier.

I have never written a review on any accommodation I stayed in but I must comment on the reviews posted in your Web Page about Harbour House. We spent two weeks in Ireland in November and we stayed there on the weekend of the 21st. The Guest House was located in a beautiful setting at the tip of the Maharees isthmus on the Dingle Peninsula. On arrival we were offered complementry coffee and buiscuits by Pat the lady of the house who was the most friendly and welcoming person we ever met. The house was very clean and the bedroom cosy with a very comfortable bed and a sea view to die for. Although, the room had no TV there were three very comfortable and relaxing lounges and the bar with cable TVs. The shower in the bath room was very powerful with copious amounts of hot water. The views from the restaurant were breathtaking and the menu very varied. On Friday night we choose fresh lobsters from the seafood tank which was only delivered that day by a local fisherman. The meal was delicious and the wine menu excellent. Saturday Night we tried the steaks - probably the best we have ever eaten. Early mornings we used the pool, gym and sauna and afterwards ate a hearthy breakfast of bacon, sausage, black and white pudding and eggs - splendid. We enjoyed our stay and would say without fear of contradiction it was the best location, the best food and value for money in Ireland. We would highly recommend it to all our friends.

By chance we arrived at Harbour House and as it looked so inviting we decided to have our lunch in the bar. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly that we decided to stay for the night. The Guest House was spotless and the sea view from our room was superb. The facilities were much more that one would expect from a guest house. It had an indoor heated swimming pool, gym and sauna which we made good use of. The evening we decided to eat in the Island's restaurant and what a meal - the both of us had seafood platters and they were the best we have ever eaten. Our breakfast choice was scrambled egg and smoked salmon. BB cost €35.00 each and only for we had booked into Killarney for the rest of the week we would have gladly spent the rest of our holiday there. All in all Harbour House is one of the hidden gems of the Dingle Peninsula.

lovely location. owners and staff very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Accommodation clean but basic more of a hostel than hotel setting but ideal if out exploring most of day. Didn't realise that this was a diving training centre which makes the swimming pool unusuitable as leisure facility.

I could not believe that this hotel could be a 4 star accommodation; I would have judged it to be a hostel with leisure centre attached. The room and everywhere we looked very cheap and unfinished. The room looked out onto rubbish, laminate flooring boards were left under the bed, and a jumper was in the wardrobe all suggesting that the room had not been properly cleaned. If you wanted tea or coffee making facilities, these were in the corridor and the only TV was in the lounge which was over the restaurant.

Rooms & Hotel lacked cleanliness also no TV's in the room so we had to use the one in the main lounge which the family which live also use so it felt like we were imposing. Also the breakfast was the greasyest ever. Easy to find. And the owners were freindly enough. It has a swimming pool but beware this is used for Diving Training so you can smell the rubber wetsuits so not as clean as you would like it.
