Friendly helpful staff, quaint, clean & nicely decorated, great location. Mosquitos with outside dining. We will definitely stay at this hotel ANY time we return to Galveston. Great free Continental breakfast. Fruit available all day out side elevators, bottled water (2 bottles) in the room each day. Clean nicely decorated. Close to shopping & dining. And above all staff who are always smiling & eager to please.

Clean rooms, great location, warm and friendly staff. Had to wait until 4 pm to check in.

Beds comfortable. When called for help, hotel staff didn't know which hotel we were in. Nice hotel, clean, etc. However, on our second night in the hotel, there were no parking places available and, our toilet in the room had a problem. When we called for a plunger, we had to call 5 times. The last time we called, we learned that staff answering phone thought we were in a sister hotel on the other side of town that's why they weren't showing up at our room. So, not impressed that it took multiple calls and a couple of hours to get a plunger to the room to clear the toilet. Ridiculous. Also, the room refrigerator didn't work.

The breakfast was nice. There was not enough lighting in the room.

The space. Such a big room! Everything was great! The staff was friendly, the hotel is very upscale and clean! We would recommend and plan on staying again soon!

Harbor side much quieter, and close to downtown. Charge hotel guests for parking. Hotel was clean, good location, adequate service.

Clerk at front desk represented the hotel well. Room was good but could have been better. It was obvious the room had been redecorated. However, the desk, night stand, end tables, and coffee table were not updated during the redecoration. Such a shame to skimp on minor pieces/expenses.

Very clean rooms, friendly front desk with a good view of the bay. Still undergoing renovations after like, elevator is still out of service. Our family was very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were clean and well done. We had a very nice view of the bay. The hotel is walking distance to the Strand as well as a few other restaurants. The restoration post Ike continues, with the major inconvenience of the elevator being out of service. We will stay again on our next trip.

Hotel felt very family friendly. Parking was $10 a night. We were traveling with a 2 and a 3 year old and this hotel was just perfect for us. The kids loved being able to look out the window in the morning and see the ships. The breakfast was simple but good. One thing that we really appreciated was the bowl of fruit sitting out in the lobby so the kids could just grab an apple when they wanted one. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying there next time we get to go to Galveston.

Great view. No over head car port to drop off out of the rain. We got rained on. Great hotel for cruse terminal.

Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is still under remolding from Ike. Wonderful room with view of boat docks, comfortable beds and a nice touch of accommodations with mini fridge and microwave.

Location and rooms. This hotel is recovering from Hurricane Ike. They are really trying accommodate guests and their needs. No elevator yet, but this wasn't a big problem for us. We will definitely stay there again. Nice continental breakfast buffet presented by gracious staff. There was always frest fruit in the main hallway on our floor.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The elevator was out of service at the time of our visit. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was very nice and well maintained. I would recommend the hotel to anyone that is staying in Galveston. If you are going on a cruise and stay here the night before your cruise you even get free parking for the duration of your cruise. That was great and my car was never messed with while I was gone.

Brand new rooms due to Hurricane. Elevator was not working yet. The room and stairway doors shut slowly and quietly which was great. Once all the renovations are done, this will be even a nicer hotel.

The atmosphere was excellent. No restaurants for lunch and breakfast locally. Very nice, quiet, renovations were excellent.

Very spacious rooms. Internet did not function. There weren't really any amenities to the hotel, but the room was great. It included a microwave and mini-fridge, and had enough space to actually lounge around in our room.

Harbor House has palatial rooms, great location, and lots of character. At my travel time, the hotel was under a remodel or reconstruction. Harbor House is a charming find! Located on the edge of the historic downtown Strand district, you are removed from the bustle of the beach-going tourists, but are only moments away from the beach yourself. This may be Galveston's best kept secret!
