The location of the hotel was perfect, just across from the ferries to Nantucket and Marthas Vineyard. The room was a bit outdated but not a problem. We walked around and saw our hotel was definitely the best in the area. We were very pleased with the hotel!

The cleanliness and warmth of the room. The location of the room was on first floor near back entrance lots of foot traffic. Great for a weekend getaway to visit different places around the Cape.

The location of this hotel was great - near restaurants, beach, stores, marina, etc., but I wasn't really impressed with the hotel itself. I thought for the money I was spending, I would be in a fabulous place but it wasn't. It was just O.K.

Expected WAY more for * per night. Reserved a crib, and were promised one, so we left our pack-n-play at home. But the only extra we found upon arrival was two bags of stinky, fly-ridden trash in front of our door, apparently forgotten by the chambermaid. So we told the front desk...she apologized and said she'd look into it and contact us. No call, no crib, so we called again later that night, and despite the same assurances, we again received no call and no crib. Our 9-week-old had to sleep in our bed. Thankfully, she didn't suffocate or fall from the bed. So we called again the next morning, and received the same boilerplate reply. We pointed out that they failed to follow up twice, and asked that they do so this time so that we could make other arrangements if they couldn't supply us with a crib as promised. Astonishingly, no call, no crib. The internet kept kicking us off, and we called about that. The maintenance guy was to look into it once he arrived at work...you guessed it.... As for the rooms, very average...they have nothing on Best Western. Cleanliness-two suspended ceiling tiles had water stains right above the bed...kind of pathetic considering the tiles cost about * a piece, or less in bulk. The toilet was crooked, and had a mismatched seat. The shower curtain was too long, and stayed stuck to the tub floor and never dried there, likely contributing to the musty smell. Greasy walkways from kitchen. Doors between rooms paper thin-treated to a neighbors romp..sounded like she was under our bed! Management just wanted to argue when apprised of shortcomings. Great potential, very poorly managed. I'd rather pay half price and walk 1/4 mile to the ferry!!

This was a perfect location across from the ferry. We stayed here overnight and took the ferry for a daytrip to Nantucket. The staff was very nice and let us park here for the day until we returned from Nantucket.

Close to harbor. Uncomfortable bed, did not change sheets, did not feel clean. Positive - Hotel located across from harbor. Negative - Room did not feel clean, one pool was green with algae, and maid service did not change sheets on bed. Hotel attempted to charge me twice for previously paid room. No follow up from management. Hotel star rating (2 1/2) was overrated. Should be no more than 1 star rating

internet pics do not capture the filthy mess. rooms stink, literally, beds are old and dingy. tv did not work, bath small even for 1 person let alone 2. false advertisement, no jacuzzi tub, no king bed, no bay view, no private balcony. dont get stuck like we did. caution.

We used the hotel as a base for a couple of days while we explored Cape Cod in the spring. The location was great - right on the harborside and within walking distance of resturants and shops on Main St. The hotel is older but well kept, and the staff was friendly. Negatives include a non-functioning hot tub, and a lackluster continental breakfast buffet which was not well tended and ran out of food and coffee early.

Location. Not clean, saw some bugs in bathroom, bad customer service. Not recommended.

AAA rate not bad for a waterfront hotel. Seems like they have added on rooms several times, and therefore some rooms are difficult to find, as was ours. Restaurant/bar onsite, but service was lousy. Fire pit next to bar, kinda cool, but no wait staff to deliver drinks. This place is directly across the street from the ferry dock to go everywhere. 3 blocks or so to downtown for quaint dining and good bar (British Brewing Co.). Awesome seafood across the street at Spanky's Crab Shack.

The front of the hotel was very inviting. However, hotel stated beachside rooms, if you call the Harbor a beachside room... Room was very clean, but had a very musty smell to it. Hotel is located near great restaurants and shopping and the ferry is right across the street.

Its quite new, and convenient. Not good sound absorption. This Hotel is just renovated, so its quite clean, and worth what I paid.

I recently stayed here with my wife on vacation and I would stay again, but I would ask for a different room. The location is great on Hyannis Harbour (I didn't smell any fumes) and a 5 minute walk to downtown. The hotel was renovated last year, so everything is kinda new. Outside is very nice and well keeped, rooms are ok, but are already starting to show wear and tear. Housekeeping seems understaffed and it can be somewhat challenging to get your room cleaned before 4PM. Towels can also be a scarce commodity. Very few rooms really have balconies, but rather it is a motel with open hallways which double as balconies. Avoid rooms 122, 123, 223, 224, 137, 237 as they don't really have a large window, so you might feel like your are on a cruise. Avoid at all cost (or get a serious discount) rooms 106 and 105 they are on the way in from the parking lot which mean you will constantly hear people walking by the wood hallway in front of your room.

THe Hyannis Harbor Hotel is in need of renovation--big time. The outside looks like it has been renovated so the contrast with the very dated rooms is even more evident. The room was spacious but very tired as is the bathroom. It looks like it was last revamped about 20 years ago. It is also very noisy as all the rooms are off common walkways. The big plus is LOCATION. You are in the middle of all the charming little towns on the Cape and walk straight across the street to the ferries.

Excellent location - next to the ferry to Nantucket/Martha’s vineyard. It makes it easy to have a place to stay, and take the ferry to Nantucket for the day. No need to find a parking place; just walked across the street. The staff was friendly, and really helpful with places to eat, places to shop. A good place to stay while visiting the Cape.

Overall the hotel appearance was nice and in a great location to acitvities in the area. The view that they offer isn't with all rooms. The restaurant needs something, maybe just a better system of serving breakfast. Evening dining was just OK. I would stay at this hotel again but I would be certain that the view I pay for is there and probably plan to eat elsewhere.

That is the best thing I can say. The hotel is adjacent to Hyannis harbor and across the street from the ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. I got a jacuzzi room. The jacuzzi was in the corner of the main room. The jets hardly moved water. Used it once during the stay. More trouble to fill it than was worth. The hotel restaurant was only open for breakfast, so had to go elsewhere to eat. Won't stay there again. Also, the floors are apparently wood. Sounded like elephants walking when the people upstairs walked around their room. Woke me up a couple of times.

Good location. Old, outdated, mold in bathroom. This hotel is in a good location, right across the street from the harbor, but it is old and in need of remodeling and a deep cleaning.

Our expectations were too high... checking into the Hyannis Harbor Hotel, we were looking forward to a clean, well appointed room with appropriate amenities justifying the room rate we were being charged. We were assigned a room on the first floor that had a strong musty moldy smell... unacceptable. We asked to be shown a different room. A hotel staff member showed us room 225 on the second floor. This room smelled of disinfectant; the bathtub had a hole in the bottom of it, and there was rust on the space heater in the bathroom. When we were told that no other rooms were available, we reluctantly decided to accept the room, but asked that the hole in the bathtub be fixed. We had intended to stay at the hotel for 3 nights. However, we told the front desk that we would only stay the one night. We then left for the afternoon and evening, returning later in the evening. It required considerable effort to bring our bags from the car to the room snice there was no easy access from the parking lot to room 225. (The 3 trips back and forth wore me out.) We noticed that the bathtub problem had not been addressed. Furthermore, we discovered that the drapes did not fully close so that anyone could look in from the busy balcony/deck outside the room. We called the front desk and they sent a maintenance man who fixed the drape. However, when we asked him about the bathtub hole, he said that he wouldn't be able to fix it. My wife called the front desk again to complain. The manager offered a 10% discount on the room, since the problem hadn't been fixed. So, for the night, we placed a towel in the tub to prevent our stubbing our toes when taking showers. The room had two double beds. My wife got into one bed while I watched TV from the other. Almost immediately, my wife starting getting bites on her ankles and legs. (The were not mosquito bites since she was under the covers.) She quickly got out of the bed, very upset and with terrible itching on her legs. We slept in the other b

Staff very courteous and accommodating. Slight odor throughout the halls. Maybe because of proximity to water. Good Value. Friendly staff. Clean rooms/hotel. Not luxurious but for 2&1/2 stars very respectable.
