The Hampton Inn and Suites in Chincoteague was a wonderful place to stay. It started with a very smooth check in. The hotel clerk was so very friendly and informative. I even received free cookies with my check in. The room was very clean. The bed was as comfortable for me as if I were in my own bed at home. I could not believe how comfortable it was. The bathroom was very big and roomy. Everything was not all crowded up together. If you forgot any of your basic grooming needs, the hotel would furnish those to you. I myself needed a toothbrush which I had forgotten. I received one with no questions asked. The hotel is situated right on the water. The view at sunset from the sitting area out back is absolutely breathtaking. I took lots of pics. It was the most beautiful cotton candy sunset I think I had ever had the pleasure of viewing. So for anyone looking for peace, comfort, and relaxation, you can't go wrong staying at this hotel.

Pleasant location; relaxed atmosphere. Pleasant staff. False advertising of bay view, when only side-partial view was provided. This pleasantly located and relaxed hotel needs to be more honest in its advertising. In its own Web-site advertising, it clearly states when rooms are side/ partial Bay View. It advertised Bay View, and then failed to deliver this. I purchased this room at the full, higher of two prices based upon the promise of a Bay View. This false promise reduced our satisfaction by at least 50 %, I do not recommend the Hotel to others based upon this experience.

I enjoyed the Hampton Inn. Great location and large rooms. The Hampton Inn was clean and the Hotel staff was very helpful.
