Date of Stay:
July, 2009
This was our first trip to DC and with the hotel so close to a Metro station, it made getting around DC very easy.

Beds, breakfast andlocation. Very comfortable and easy to get to and from while exploring the city.

Enjoyed our stay. We have stayed at other Hampton Inn's one that stands out was in Baltimore, MD which sadly to say we DID NOT HAVE A GOOD experience. Loved this Hampton Inn in DC. Because of this stay Hampton Inn's have been redeemed in our eyes.

My elderly mother and I spent 3 nights at this hotel when we went to visit my son and his wife. We chose the hotel because of its proximity to their condo. I have no complaints. We arrived early and were told that we might have to wait for a clean room, but they were able to find one without any delay. The room was not large, but was certainly adequate for our needs. It was very clean. The dining area was large, we had no difficulty finding a table for breakfast. The staff was helpful storing our luggage when we had to check out before time to catch a ride to the airport, and summoned a driver when it was time for us to leaven. If I were to have a complaint, it would be the cost, which is a little pricey for a Hampton Inn, but not for an intown DC hotel. Clean, safe, comfortable, a nice place to stay.

My husband just requested to have a double bed if there is any, instead the clerk sarcasticly said" if i change your room and if there is none available i will have to cancelled your room and credit your account instead. Is that the answer you expect to a prestige hotel?. My husband also was told by the same clerk that the room is not available until 4:00pm , luckily we tried at around 3:15's and we got it . The check out time is 12:00pm ? checkin 4:00pm?.oh one more thing on saturday 8:30pm our key card does not work. Elevator is too slow. I use the stairs 2 times.

The bed was very comfortable and there was a fridge and microwave. The complementary breakfast was awful. It was comfortable and convenient.

The hotel staff was very pleasant. Satisfaction guaranteed. "Valet parking only" is a bit of a hassle for us (there's a charge) because we had to get everything at once. The breakfast was just OK compared to other Hampton Inns we've stayed at (not hot enough.) It's about a one mile walk to the Capitol/mall museums, which is what we wanted to do. There are lots of affordable restaurants in the area, so the location was great. My children LOVED the pool/hot tub, especially after a VERY exhausting day at the Smithsonian museums. We were satisfied. We always choose Hampton because the breakfast is free and filling, making the hotel that much more economical. plus, we can get one room for two adults and three kids (all under 17.) We bring our own air mattress and they always give us extra linens. We will not even hesitate to choose this hotel again next year.

A very nice hotel, conveniently located near the Capitol and the Gallery/Chinatown Metro station. Free Internet where others charge for it; staff friendly and helpful to visitors from many countries; other nice touches like a free business center with a couple of computers and a printer; staff kept breakfast well-stocked. It was pouring rain in the morning and a staff member hustled to buy a box of umbrellas to re-sell to guests at a reasonable price--an enterprising and welcome move. I got a good room rate (for the heart of DC) through Travel agency and wasn't expecting this level of service; I rarely both to write reviews, but I highly recommend this hotel.

Clean room, friendly staff, free breakfast, good location. We didn't have the correct size room for our family. The listing made it unclear how many beds were in the room.

Hotel was very nice, very clean, breakfast was good - more than your usual hotels that offer free breakfast. Good location near Verizon Center and Chinatown. Would definitely stay there again.

Our stay ended up being at a great location to get to all the local attractions. The Hotel Staff were all professional and helpful. The breakfast buffet was super, especially for those with young ones; something for everyone! The pool was adequate. Even though we were on the 9th floor it was noisy at times from all the emergency vehicles traveling past outside. In short, I would gladly book again.

The room was attractive, updated, and clean. The breakfast was good. The location was convenient to the purpose we stayed. There is nothing negative that I can say.

The Hampton was clean and the staff friendly. Overall a nice stay. Parking on the street is hard to come by but the hotel does have secure valet parking in its own deck--* per day so you need to add that to your budget.

Reserved a none smoking room and was originally given a SMOKING ROOM. It reeked to high heaven - like a smoke filled poker pallor. Eventually they moved us to a non smoking room that was great. Valet Parking was nice but pricey. Breakfast was first class!

Beds; breakfast; location. Second elevator didn't work first day; didn't get free newspaper at my door. Excellent location for all DC sights; friendly front desk staff and valet parking; quiet; great breakfast and loved the cookies in the evening; second time at hotel in past month and will return when we return to visit our daughter.

nice stay...only problem was chaotic staff use of elevators led to long lead time for elevator service

The Hotel was in a good location to almost everything. There was very little help from the staff as far as places to eat, getting transportation, etc. The staff was great but it was difficult to find the consiliger. I think he had to double as the bell boy. The hotel was very busy. The rooms were always clean(the cleaning staff did a great job) and there we hot cookies in the lobby at the end of long fun days sight seeing.

Friendly staff, good with directions. Soap scum in shower. The room was well appointed and comfortable. Beds were crisp, clean and comfortable. Room was clean, well organized with a lot of storage for clothes, a safe for valuables, hanging closet thoughtfully covered by a full mirror, with a small refrigerator also thoughtfully concealed within a cabinet. Cable was working well and reception was good. The alarm clock was cumbersome to adjust but the wake up call from the desk was prompt. Breakfast was versatile to cover all tastes and dining area was comfortable with a street wiew. We used Valet Parking which whom took good care of our auto. I would certainly stay here again.

The beds were incredibly comfortable & clean! Nice selection for continental breakfast(not enough seating, so brought back to room to eat)...indoor pool clean, staff helpful with info especially late nite pizza delivery!
