I needed a reasonable room at the last minute for a Saturday night. This hotel was close to the airport, close to the venue I was visiting. It had a nice room, great service, a free breakfast and a price that beat a lot of others. It wasn't far from the Strip, either.

It was clean, neat and well staffed.

Everything I expected and needed for an efficient business trip. No walking thru a Casino to get to your room! The staff exceeds any expectations in freindliness and helpfulness, they are exceptional. Breakfast was fine, coffee good, only negative of the inn is that there is no food service other than breakfast. The strip is a 10 minute New York pace away by foot. Fast food available across the street, In and OUt burgers surprisingly good, convenience store next door. In a town that caters to emptying your pockets quickly, this Inn is an Oasis of sanity. Would highly recommend to business people. Only five minutes from the airport. Also, the hotel shuttle will drop you just about anywhere!

The hotel was very nice, the decor great, and a large pool. The rooms were very pleasant, clean, and beds as usual for the Hamptons wonderful. The staff was accomodating, and helpful at all times. We were there for a show at the Hardrock Hotel, which we are grateful not to have stayed. The shuttle bus drivers were great getting us up to their drop off hotels. So if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, reasonable, and very clean, this is a great one.

Clean, basic room. The hotel advertise a shuttle service, however every time we wanted requested a shuttle ride, they had some excuse not to provide us with the service. The hotel advertise a shuttle service and talked about it when I called them to ask them questions about transportation from the hotel, however every time we wanted requested a shuttle ride, they had some excuse not to provide us with the service, whether it was that they didn't go to that side of town (even though it was a main part of the strip we wanted to go to) or they were busy and one time they told us it would be about ten minutes before they could use the shuttle, we wanted about 25 minutes, then asked them again when we would be able to leave and he said another 10 minutes then disappeared. Also, when we asked the front desk the first couple of times for a shuttle ride, they actually just pointed to the driver (who was drinking at the bar!) and told us to ask him directly rather then setting it up for us as they had promised on the phone and at our check in. This shuttle arrangement was extremely unfortunate, as we did not plan on spending the amount of money on cabs as we did because we had planned to use the free shuttle. Only 1 of the three elevators were working when we were there, which was a large inconvenience, especially when it came to hauling our luggage up four flights of stairs because the elevator was too packed. Maybe we just got unlucky with our stay, but I don't believe I would recommend this hotel - even though the rooms were nice and clean, the service at the hotel was really horrible.

I have stayed at many Hampton Inn locations for business travel, and I was a little disappointed in the Hampton Inn Tropicana. One of the managers were friendly (I forgot his name), but the rest made me feel as if I were a burden. The business center was not adequate enough to be at a "business" hotel- only two computers and you have to pay for fax (I paid over 9 to send a fax) and copies. The hotel offers shuttle service to the strip- which is an unorganized mess. I waited for over an hour, and everytime I asked where the shuttle was, the response was "should be 15-20mins, just keep waiting". I asked where to wait, and they said- "oh, anywhere". I was left twice without so much as an apology or attempt to make it right. The rooms, however, were clean and comfortable- the housekeeping staff is on their game. Overall, not awful, but certainly less than I expected. I will not plan on staying at this hotel again.

I went to bury my father and needed a place away from the Vegas madness. Quiet, clean and close enough to get around town. Fitness center had top-notch equipment and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Modern furnishings, everything seemed brand new and stylish. The bed was super comfortable. The fire alarm went off at 3:00 am because the lobby had a fire. I didn't get much sleep that night. Way better.

The Hampton Inn Tropicana, was very nice. Good location and close access to the Las Vegas strip. The room was clean and nicely appointed. I would recommended this hotel to my friends.

Location, and availability. Needs more parking for oversize vehicles i.e. large trucks. Parking garage was too low to drive under in a lifted truck.

A great place to stay when doing business in the city. I was attending a conference at the Mandalay Bay and was looking to stay in a non-gaming / non-resort hotel. The excess of the Strip is too much for me. The Hampton Inn was perfect. They even provided a free shuttle to the Strip and every morning I waited no more than 5 minutes to get a ride to the conference.Rooms were clean and very comfortable. High speed internet access was easy to connect to. Wired access is available. The exercise room needs to be reconfigured. The one tv was accessible by anyone lifting weights but not by anybody on the cardio machines. THe cardio machines could stand to be upgraded to something more substantial. The only thing I really thought the hotel lacked was an in-room safe. Being Vegas, I'm sure folks may have a little more cash with them than they normally do. Also, not having to go to the front desk to leave my laptop every morning would have been nice.If you are looking to avoid gambling be forewarned that there are video poker machines at this property.

Room was very clean with ample space. Free morning breakfast and coffee. Location very close to the strip. (Major casinos within walking distance).

The bed was like heaven! I debated whether to leave the room at all. I wish it had a restaurant or coffee shop. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are immaculate and feel very homey. The bed was heaven and the choice of love seat and desk chair were very comfortable and inviting. I would definitely be staying there again.

The shuttle picks you up from the airport and will take you just about anywhere on the strip you want to go. I bet when it's a little cooler outside (we were there in 100+ degree weather), it's a lot easier to walk around everywhere, but the shuttle definitely saved us a lot on cab fare. As for the hotel, I have no complaints. The staff was polite and professional, the business center has free internet, the complimentary breakfast is good... just a great experience overall. It's worth it!

The hotel was good in most aspects but I wouldn't recommend if someone is going for leisure trip as this is off the strip center. Also I found it to be costly.

Very clean; very helpful staff. Noise from outside traffic very disturbing while trying to sleep.

We called for early check in, and was amazed at the great personalities, and service we received. We would definitely go back to Hampton Inn. They accommodated us with extreme care.

The workout equipment was great. Great hotel for business and leisure travel, loved getting this hotel so close to the strip.
