Hotel rooms were large but the layout was awkwrd, tv was super small, and so-called whirlpool was a small bathtub/shower w/ jets. However, room was clean, service was good, breakfast was great, and nearby diner was perfect for late night cravings.

Friendly staff, excellent value and clean. All things positive. Staff was extremely accommodating. The rooms were clean and attractive and the food for breakfast was good and plentiful.

The people at the front desk were helpful in providing information about places to dine and order out during our 4 day stay. The shuttle was timely to take us back and forth to Penn Station. The continental breakfast and dining room was wonderful. Great computer room to work in. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised about how nice this hotel was. We were visiting NYC and wanted to save by commuting in each day. The hotel is close to Newark Penn Station where you can catch a PATH train to Manhattan. There is even a free shuttle that runs on demand during the day/evening. This hotel seemed very new and my wife was very pleased which made it especially nice for me.

The Hampton Inn & Suites, Newark-Harrison-Riverwalk was comfortable. The room had 2 queen beds, which was nice, but was a little cramped for time spent in the room. They havea shuttle service that takes you to Newark Penn Station and the Airport, our only problem was that it stops running at 11:00 p.m. Good complimentary breakfast buffett. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean, well kept building.

The hotel staff was great in accommodating our room type. The pool was very very dirty. The first staff person we met was very helpful. The rooms were immaculate and well kept. They brought us up a rollaway bed very quickly and extra towels came within 5 minutes. The only negatives were the breakfast buffet was way too crowded and they couldn’t handle the traffic those mornings. The pool was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The overnight staff person was pretty unfriendly in trying to help us with our room keys. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

This was the nicest Hampton Inn I have stayed in. The hotel was fairly new and well kept. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Also close to public transportation with a free shuttle, so trips in/out of NYC were easy.

This was a family vacation to tour New York City. The cost benefit of staying in New Jersey was significant enough to make the Hampton Inn attractive. The Hampton Inn's people were very helpful. The surrey would take us anywhere in the neighborhood that we wanted to go. The rooms were clean and maintained very well. We needed the wireless access and it was a good connection with the exception of evenings when everyone was trying to get on. I would stay at this hotel again if I went back to New York/New Jersey.

Location was great with good restaurants close by, nice manager's reception, complimentary breakfast. In room WiFi was kind of weak. Conveniently located near downtown Newark, accessible to fine dining, great complimentary breakfast and managers reception. A great departure from the hotels near the airport.

Very clean, helpful staffandairport shuttle service. No restaurant in the hotel, just a bar and small buffet breakfast. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel. Rooms were spacious and very clean, staff was great, we only wished there was a restaurant on premise.

Shuttle service from the airport even though it was after shuttle hours. We stayed in this hotel on a trip to New York. We got in late at night and called for a shuttle and they had to find someone to come and get us as it was after shuttle hours. The hotel was really nice, had a great complimentary breakfast, then it was only blocks to the train which took us to New York in about 20 minutes. We loved this hotel.

the the most part friendly staff. They did not pick me up when it was raining and I called for shuttle. This was a good, for the most part experience. the rooms were very clean and the view was great. I have stayed at Hampton Inns before however, I was returning from school in New York City and it was raining, I called for the shuttle bus, they first hung up on me, I called back, they it was who answered the phone, let me see, I'll send the bus for you...I cut in and said, if the bus is tied up I'll take a cab, for which I ended up doing any way. This is the only thing that was negative...I was tried and wanted to go to bed...

The breakfast was excellent and the bed was really comfortable. Noise. The other guest was running on the hallway and they were noisy.

The breakfast buffet was a perfect selection of items. Alas, my view did not include the riverside. Neat, clean, and quiet with perfunctory shuttle service to and from the airport. [excellent free breakfast buffet]!

Nice lobby with TVs. Free breakfast. Large, clean well-appointed rooms (fridge, microwave) location... wasn't extremely close to airport Overall excellent. Great spot to stay to catch train up to NYC. Bring a swim suit -- they have an indoor pool.

The room was very nice and comfortable. This is not really about the hotel, but the street was not marked very well. Passed it and had to retrace route to find out where we had gone wrong. The staff was very friendly. They recommended what time I would need a wake-up call to get to the airport on time, as well as called the cab to be waiting when I got to the lobby.

clean rooms terrible transportation Terrible hotel for business travelers. It takes at least one hour for the shuttle to pick you up and get to the hotel. The morning shuttle does not leave until 7am so business travelers cannot take early flights. My flight was at 6am so I had to call the Hilton for a ride or get a taxi.Terrible!!
