Clean, comfortable, and very pleasant atmosphere. Something fo everyone. There's a place to have a drink, eat.. choice of two different restaurants, and a complimentry breakfast that was great!

We really liked the location of this hotel and It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. We found the staff to be sufficiently courteous and the room was very pleasant & clean.

From the moment you enter the lobby, you are in a warm and inviting place. The front desk help were nice as well as parking attendants in their back lot. It doesn't stop there of course. My boyfriend and I had a basic King bed with sofa room and it was definately well above our expectations. Perfectly clean (no dirty remotes/doorknobs!) with the most comfy of beds! The bathroom was really nice too. Everything in the room was up to date as far as decor and fixtures! Compared to other not-so-nice hotels we've stayed in, this was so affordable compared and way nicer. The complimentary hot breakfast, with so many choices, in their beautiful high ceilinged dining area was the perfect addition to the stay. The only downside about this hotel was not inside the hotel itself. Unfortunately Albany was the biggest "ghost town" of a city I've ever seen on a weekend. It's a 9-5 Monday through Friday city everyone! So therefore this hotel may be great for a business trip, or someone travelling during the week! (I.e: It was so hard to find a place to eat for lunch because most cafes and restaurants are closed on the weekend and the bars/restaurants that are open, open @5!) If you do go, visit Lark St., a more alternative/artsy area, coined the "Greenwich Village" of Albany. There's this Mexica takeout/restaurant/bar place called "Bombers" that's super good! And the architecture in Empire Plaza is worth a gander.

The Hampton is located right in the heart of Albany.Beautiful hotel! They do charge 12.50 per night for parking, which we were unaware of until arrivingat the hotel. Also, they do not change the bedding unless you request. for them too.We were unaware of this as well.Other than those two things, we would highly recommend this hotel. The staff is friendly, the food in the YoNo restaurant in 5 STAR for sure!Very romantic place to stay.

The hotel was in dowtown Albany, one side of the hotel was a run down neighborhood with people walking the streets all night. On the other side of the hotel was many college bars and clubs. The hotel itself was beautiful, friendly staff, free breakfast each morning. This hotel was a little too far out of the wasy next time I will stay closer to the airport or the Northway.

Bathroom was spacious and very comfortable with separate shower, whirlpool and TV. The hotel did not have any television movie preview channels. Great hotel to feel comfort and relaxation.

The hotel was beautiful. It was very clean and the service from the front desk was great! They gave us recommendations on where to go and what to see. Our room looked brand new and the little refrigerator was an added bonus for us. The breakfast that was complimentary was fresh and well organized and the coffee was good! We would stay there again.

We have stayed at this hotel three times and will go back again. Great location, terrific staff, clean and stylish lobby and rooms. One weekend a year the price is too high, just like the price for every hotel room within 100 miles of Saratoga on the weekend of the Whitney Cup, but it is absolutely the best all around all the time.

The woman that assisted us at check in was very helpful, not just with check in but with parking and area dining locations. Everytime she saw us she greeted me by name which I thought was a very nice touch. The hotel is downtown and very nice. The casual restaurant attached to the hotel (but not run by it) was a bit stuffy but the food was very good. The hotel had a very nice breakfast, better than most Hampton's were I have stayed.

The girl, who checked me in, at the front desk was extremely pleasant and had answers for all my questions.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The only reason this hotel is $***+ per night is because it is in the state capital of NY. If this exact hotel was located in a smaller city or town, then you would expect to pay about $**-**. When you stay in bigger cities, you are usually paying more for your location.

I had not been to Albany before, and was not sure what to expect. The entire experience was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from Empire Plaza, and is only a block from Pearl Street, with its trendy bars and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is one of the best in Albany, The free continental breakfast every morning was just what was needed to start the day.

The hotel met my expectation in almost every way. The staff was friendly and helpful and accomodating to my needs. The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and did not feel cramped. The location was perfect considering that the Capitol building and other historical attractions are only a block away. The only thing that I'm dissatisfied with is that I was given a room for people with disabilities with the wheel-chair accessible shower. This resulted in the bathroom being flooded every time someone took a shower. Though it did not present a large issue for me. For the price I paid for this room for a couple of nights I am very sattisfied with the service I received.

In the heart of Albany, this beautiful hotel with an amazing staff made my trip the mini-vacation/buisness trip very comfortable. Any request or complaint (my radio didn't work and they were out of towels in the gym) was dealt with within a few minutes. The executive suite I stayed in had a refridgerator, microwave and coffee pot with great coffee. The room was spacious and offerred a lap desk, full-sized desk and full bath. There is a relaxation room which is private. It has a sauna, steam room, tanning bed and massage chair for a small fee. I would stay here everytime.

I did not like that you had to pay for parking. I went up to Albany for the night to see a lacrosse game at UAlbany. The hotel room was very clean and upscale. Flat screen TV, really nice vanity in the bathroom, comfortable bed etc. The staff was very pleasant and helpful with directions around the town. The continental breakfast was great. There were tons of choices and they staff kept everything filled and they did not run out of things. My overall experience there was great!

The Hampton is a new facility, and was in very good shape. It is in a good location, very close to good dinning options and downtown attractions. It also has a good restaraunt and Chef inside the hotel. My only complaints were due to the 25 minute check-in (a maintenece person had taken the machine to encode the room card) and the very confusing parking system they have in place. This system requires a parking receipt for the attendant, one for the gate and one for the front desk - why not have it run off the room key? It also is an additional $12.50 / day for the parking in the rear of the Hotel. Besides that I thought it was superior to some other options nearby.

Very clean and very friendly staff. I thought that the parking charge (almost $14 with taxes) was excessive.
