We came to the Poconos for our 10th anniversary. It was quiet.

The location is great, large room. Housekeeping was the worst ever experienced in a Hampton inn. Outside lighting could be improved at night. Location to main street shopping and eateries is excellent, easy walk. Easy drive to area attractions.

We needed a place for an overnight after visiting with friends.......this was the wrong choice. It just looked kind of crummy and if looks that way...it feels that way. The front desk lady was very nice and the morning breakfast buffet was pretty darn impressive, especially after the dumpy room. Not up to snuff...at least for us.

I had a horrific flight in to PA, didn't arrive at the hotel until 5:30am. When I called the hotel to advise them of the delay, the person on the phone was very helpful and offered to cancel my guaranteed late arrival if I did not want to drive at that hour. Upon arrival, she agreed to late check out and made a special note for housekeeping not to disturb me the next day. I ended up returning for another night. On both occasions, everyone on the staff that I encountered was friendly and professional. Great environment for a weary traveler!

TYou can see this hotel off of route 80 but it is a bit confusing to get to because you have to go down a series of sidestreet to get to it. As far as the ""New Hampton Bed"" is concerned, don't believe it. All it is a white Duvee covering with semi clean white sheets. Its is still the same old hotel bedding-hard-as-a-rock and sagging in the middle. But the hotel was very clean and quiet. The breakfast area was extremely crowed but well origanized considering how peolpe behave when the food is free.
