Very convenient to River Street, restaurants, downtown.

The location was wonderful and the hotel was very clean. Parking is a pain but luckily the city parking is directly across the street. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to family and friends.

The hotel room was fine, and breakfast was good. You couldn't ask for a better location. However, I would never stay here again because of the terrible parking situation. We had to read her the details of our reservation, and thankfully, she was able to find us in the computer. Now for the parking issues--the awning you pull under to check in is very small; the front desk staff didn't tell us about all the parking procedures when we checked in. They encourage valet parking, but we wanted to self-park. We constantly had to ask questions about parking. The garage underneath is TINY. The cars in there are parked everywhere--even in the aisles. I wonder if this is where the valet parked cars are parked? I can imagine there are many dinged and scratched cars from the way they were parked. If the garage is full, you're supposed to park in the city garage across the street. However, one night, that garage was full too, and there was no other parking option given. We drove down the street and came back, and finally, a space had opened under the hotel. It made us scared to leave for fear that we wouldn't have a place to park when we got back. If you have to pay 10 a day for parking (not 8 as this site says), they should be able to guarantee you a parking space.

We've been to Savannah a few times before. This is the best hotel for the price of all we've stayed. The location could not have been better. The staff, rooms, and common areas are fab. Breakfast is varied, plentiful, and included. Wear comfy shoes, Savannah is a very walkable city and there's lots to see and do.

Location! We walked to everything! The rooftop pool was closed at sunrise and sunset. Wonderful location...walked to everything which made it easier for both of us to enjoy the evening since we didn't have to worry about driving. I was unhappy with the fact that the rooftop pool was not open for sunrise or sunset but it was beautiful during the day.

Stayed there for 4 days and was very happy. The staff was very willing to help with any question or concern, &. within walking distance of many places.. Very clean and very good breakfast. One nice thing was the breakfast was a little different each day. I feel it was worth the money, and would recommend it to anyone.

My husband I spent only one, brief night at the Hampton Inn in Historic Savannah. And I can't say enough good things about it. We both agreed...it was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in away from home and the room was spacious and nicely decorated. The staff was cordial and friendly, most especially your concierge. And calling your continental breakfast just that was an understatement. The eggs, muffins, fruit, cereal and multiple juices and coffee/tea were a wonderful surprise. We almost walked out without knowing it was part of the amenities. It was a great breakfast to send us on to our next destination.

The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff were very accomodating with tourist information. All staff were able to tell you how to walk or ride to the points of interest. The pool area is very quite and the view from the area is great. Hotel is just across the street from the river front and is in walking distance of the historic area and parks.

The staff of this hotel provided wonderful customer service. I truly felt that they wanted to do everything they could to insure that we had a great visit. I was definately impressed! My family and I found ourselves in Savannah during a rainy weekend. Since many of us had left our unbrellas behind the hotel allowed us to check out some of theirs for the day. I know this greatly improved our trip. The location is also great. Just a short walk to all of the attractions in the historic district and river street.I found the room to be very clean. The bed was also especially confortable. I plan to stay here again and would definately recomend this hotel to a friend.

This hotel was in a great location. We parked our car at check in, and didn't have to use it again until we left. Restaurants, tours, museums were all within walking distance. Hotel was clean and comfortable. I would definately stay here again.

"Great location - easy, beautiful walking distance to all attractions. Savannah Music Festival was wonderful. Had A/C problems the first night of our stay and was moved to another room the next day. No compensation for the lost night of sleep. Just a ""we are sorry this happend"". Oh well things do happen - no worries! It is still a great location!!!!"

"Yes it is expensive for a Hampton Inn, but you are paying for the location which is within walking distance of everything."

"This is a very nice place to stay in Savannah. Nicely located in the historic district; across the street from River front shops and restaurants and about 5-6 blocks from Paula Deene's restaurant and City Market. Room and bed very comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and hospitable. A little ""pricey"", even at the AARP rate."

"The location to historic Savannah could not be beat. The rooms however, for the cost, were not worth the price. Parking is also $10.00 per day which when purchased stated ""free parking"""
