This was a great place to stay with an awesome price! Great location! Fudpucker's is right across the street. We walked to eat. The hotel is also close to The Crab Trap. Can't beat the location on the beach. Just a couple of steps from the white sand and the clear water!

We just came back from our 7 day vacation in FWB. The Hampton Inn by far exceeded our expectations. The staff was awesome: friendly, attentive, helpful. The room (we had 2 Queen beds, upstairs w/ balcony and view of beach) was very nice. Super comfy beds, big screen TV, modern bathroom fixtures, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker. House keeping was always available, and kept our coffee and fresh towel supply up! Complimentary breakfast buffet, free Highspeed Internet, they even brought the daily newspaper to our room each day! This 2 story hotel is RIGHT on the white sand beach! You literally step out of your room, walk 10 steps and hit the beach. There are beach chairs and umbrellas available for rent (25 a day) or you can bring your own and set it up. I have never been on the Gulf coast, and was blown away by the fine, sugar white sand beach, that was well maintained and kept clean! The hotel also has a small pool, but we never used it. Why come to Florida's Emerald Coast to go swimming in a pool? I can do that at home :) I highly recommend the Hampton Inn Hotel to anybody that wants to stay right on the beach, be within minutes driving of Destin harbor, FWB Pier (fishing), Gulfarium, wonderful restaurants, Deep Sea Fishing (go with Olin Marler!!!). We will be coming back for sure, and I for one, can't hardly wait to stay in this hotel!

This was a wonderful place to stay -- right on the beach and within walking distance from some great places to eat and shop! Beach was beautiful with dolphins to watch in the morning! Also a tasty breakfast every morning! I recommend it highly!

The staff were what made the difference. We changed rooms once from 2 beds to 1-- the people actually came upstairs and moved our bags for us. The location is great, it's pretty quiet but a very short drive to all the fun stuff in Fort Walton Beach and it was a lot less expensive than the beachfront hotels (though far from cheap!).

I lived in the FWB area for over 35 years, now live in Seattle area and I wanted a place on the beach when i went there this time. Visited with my family who also came from all corners of the US. Was worth the price! (It helped that it was sunny the whole time i was there!!) I was disappointed that I had to rent the beach umbrella and chairs when my family came to the hotel/beach to spend the day. Other than that, I had a blast and I would recommend the Hampton Inn on Santa Rosa Blvd. to all, including family's!

Wonderful location! Hot water heater was leaking so we had very little hot/warm water. I was extremely impressed at the location of this hotel for the price! It was absolutely wonderful!

The staff was awesome... from the minute we walked in the door, everyday they greeted us by name and the service was great!!!! They couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast every morning was great and served with a cheery attitude. Great warm cookies everyday were served in the lobby. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Fort Walton. We will return!!!! Great place!!!

The hotel was very nice--nicer than any other hotel we've stayed in. Perfect location-right on the beach. Nice hot breakfast bar with something for everyone--coffee, juice, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, biscuits, muffins, toast, bagels, on and on. Very friendly staff--I thought it was nice they called us after we checked in to make sure our room was everything we expected. It was everything we expected, and more. Also lots of nice restaurants within walking distance, right down the beach. We had a great time and will definately be back to the Hampton Inn for our next stay at Ft. walton Beach.

Clean. Unresponsive. Good customer service at a minimum answers the phone. I found a Holiday Inn Express in Niceville which for my purposes was much better.

I stay in this area regularly and I was quite impressed with the staff and the property. I was alsways spoken to when passed on the grounds. One morning I asked about where the closed water fountain was so that I could fill my water bottle before going to the beach. Minutes later a housekeeper knocked at the door with a cold bottled water. The room was clean, fresh and the bed was so incredible. They really have the most comfortable bed. It was a true retreat. Even though I didn't have a view of the beach and water from my room. I was just steps to the beach. My over all stay was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area for business or pleasure.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel two years ago and were very pleased with our stay. So when we decided to vacation in the same area, we opted to stay again at this hotel. We were very pleasantly suprised to see that the room had extensive updating since our last visit. All the linens and beds had been replaced; the furniture was very nice; the bathroom was pleasant. We always have a room on the first floor because our favorite feature of those rooms is that you have a back door/patio that directly connects to the walkway to the beach. Instead of having to traipse through the hallways, you step right out into the fresh air! We will definitely be staying there again!!

Pillows! Back door didn't always latch, sometimes it got stuck shut. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

This is a very clean hotel for being right on the beach. Nice rooms in general, but the only rooms with a view of the coast are 4 or 5 on both levels that are at the end of a VERY long hallway. But these rooms are on the Gulfside and worth the walk and the higher cost. The bathrooms seemed newly redecorated and very contemporary. The pool was closed due to the ongoing construction and remodeling. There was no hot tub. We understood that It was their "off season" so there was repair and upkeep going on during the day, but it started before 8AM. Loved that it was on the beach, very close to the attractions in which we were interested. We will use this hotel again, but not without calling ahead to confirm the status of construction and use of the pool.

Great beds and pillows! I liked everything. This hotel was so great they called shortly after we got into the room to make sure we liked everything. Comfy beds, easy access to the beach. Good breakfast.

It was very restful and the view was great. The pool wasn't big enough. The motel was located on the beach, near the best restaurants and shopping was just down the road. The staff has always been friendly to us. We have stayed at this hotel before and it was always great. A lot of the things we do are in destine but we don't mind the drive because we like this hotel so much more then likely we will stay there next year.

The room was great and the beach is beautiful. Not that many gulf view rooms. Staff seemed friendly though I did see them switch someone¿s gulf view room to another guy because he showed some card after complaining he didn't have a second story room, room was very nice and the beach was excellent.
