The lack of recycling at the breakfast bar /restaurant there are many options available. Overall an OK place, but the lack of recycling options, and the use of Styrofoam dishware is just awful, in my opinion use compo stable paper or recyclable plastic and you will attract a whole new level of clientele.

We stayed one night to attend a university orientation. The room and hotel were fine. The bragged about "hot" breakfast was ok but not something to brag about. We were very unfortunate to have another guest park their large trailer that they hauled racing motorcyles in right behind our room. So at around 4:30AM they started opening the metal doors and lowering the ramp and making very loud noises banging around in this large metal trailer. Needless to say it ruined what remained of the night. The hotel needs to prevent people travelling with such trailers from parking right up against the back of the hotel-especially if they are going to bang around at 4:30 AM.

The Hampton Inn Bangor was just great. Our room was large, The beds were comfortable. Having the sink in the room rather than in the bathroom is something we really like. The location was right for us as we were meeting friends in the area and it was easy for us to find. Being near the mall was nice. We went to a 99 restaurant to eat and that too was near and nice.

Enjoyed breakfast and the cookies at night. Tried to charge us for a movie we did not order or see. Very nice Hotel and good location. Was not happy when charged for a movie that we did not watch. The clerk said someone could have rolled on the remote while sleeping? (We did not watch any movies).

We have no negative comments about this hotel. It was well-kept, friendly, helpful staff, and wireless internet service. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

This place was so hospitable and the room was BEAUTIFUL! Would DEFINETLY stay there again. Everyone was so nice, and almost earned my stay's worth of food that they served for free!

The most unprofessional front desk staff EVER. Complained to GM. Received a voucher.When I tried to use voucher, I was lied to by front desk manager. Nice hotel and housekeeping.Preservation of my dignity keeps me away. FIRE THE FRONT DESK STAFF and hotel would be excellent.I am a frequent Hilton Honors guest. This hotel's staff is an insult to the Hilton chain. Stay away.

I spent a week in Bangor in May, 2006. I spent my first night at the Holiday Inn Civic Center and the hotel was terribly run down and shabby. The next 4 nights were spent at the Hampton Inn Bangor Mall and I couln't have been happier. The hotel was clean and the staff was marvelous!
