room basic but clean... only 1 toilet and 1 shower down the corridor so if people wanted to use either then u had to queue. blinds in room need repairing. wifi advertised but apart from the 'lounge' area the quality of reception in rooms was poor. didn't eat an evening meal but the breakfast was both filling and hot and the service excellent.

Accommodation comfortable and of good quality, walking distance from colleges, staff very friendly and helpful.Breakfast lovely.Would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff, was chaotic weekend - weddings/graduations - so coped very well!!Was an extremely chaotic time when we visited was Cambridge graduation weekend plus loadsa wedings going on (which is why we were there). Staff very friendly, even when obviously frazzled! Breakfast was very good. Room was absolutely fine - only feedback I would make is 1. net curtain would be good in the room we stayed in as you couldn't open your curtains as you looked out onto car park and other accomodation. 2. some form or fan/aircon would be great as room was boiling (I know it was an incredibly hot night)) but would have helped. But overall it met our needs perfectly. Plus had a car park which from looking aroubnd the area is a REAL bonus! Thanks.

WinnerFrankly I booked here because it was cheap and near where I needed to be. I was surprised by the building and then the room - both much nicer than they looked on the net - my room had en suite, kettle and TV, well stocked and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The breakfasts were to die for -!- and I ate in one night, good booze, decent solid food, all very cheap. If Cambridge ever beckons again, thats where I'II be staying.

Three Night Stay at the Hamilton During May Ball WeekWe actually stayed for 3 nights because of the duration of Trinity May Ball party. It was a very reasonable hotel with a good breakfast in the morning. Very handy to a papershop and easy to get a taxi into the centre of Cambridge although the walk along the river only takes about 25 minutes.We stayed in the front of the Hotel and did not get disturbed by lots of traffic in the night.

A guest house that calls itself a hotelThe room was clean but due to its location near the entrance we were woken up several times both nights with drunk guests arriving back. The sink was positioned too low for comfort and the shower so high that I could not reach it to adjust the angle and it only showered on my head! I also had to ask for soap as there was none in the room. We asked to book a table the first night and were made to feel that it was quite an inconvenience - we had to choose our food when we booked the table. Also the car parking was so limited that it was a case of either block someone in or be blocked in yourself, not a problem if the person who blocks you in is only in the hotel but could be difficult if they have gone out for the day and you need to leave. The staff were friendly and I would consider staying again but would ask for a different room not right near the entrance.

would stay againRoom a quad -size fine, bathroom pokey just a shower no bath but plenty of towels /toiletries.a few cobwebs, beds comfy and decor good.Tea coffee etc provided in room plus tele terrestrial channels. Service at breakfast excellent coudnt be more helpful with our idiocyncrasiesAlso do evening food,snacks and drinks etc if you got small ones and cant be out at night.convenient location parking good. Eay to find on main route around Cambridge.15 mins walk to centre of town. Would stay again.

Excellent value for money for a good location for the town Excellent value for money and customer service. Good location with a nice 20min stroll into the centre of town. The hotel is not easy to find by car as you lose the street sign and there is a one way system that is confusing. We wasted over an hour going round and round

Hamilton Hotel was a little disappointing for the money that we paid for the room. Having seen the photos on the website, I was expecting the rooms to have been slightly nicer. The showers were old, and the bathroom very small. The rooms were clean though, and the breakfast (included) could have been worse. I think with quite limited accommodation in Cambridge, you can do worse than Hamilton Hotel though I would not heartily recommend the hotel to a friend and if I was coming back to Cambridge would look to stay somewhere different.

While the hotel is some way out of the historic centre, the walk into town isn't that long and much of it is through lovely parkland. There are several shops and pubs close to the hotel so no problem if you want to eat out.The room and bed were very comfortable and clean and the complimetary tray with tea and coffee facilities was an added bonus.

Good value accommodation within easy reach of centre of CambridgeVery practical, inexpensive accommodation. My little room had everything I needed packed into it. The breakfast was excellent, and cheerfully served. Close to Midsummer Common, and from there a very nice walk into town.

Not spectactular, but this was a good clean, comfortable B&B - excellent B&B for the priceThis is a good basic B&B. On the downside:- Architecturally a slight rabbit warren - it's every easy to get lost - and not be able to find the way back to either your room or to reception!- Sound insultation is rather poor.On the up side:Very clean, reasonably comfortable, helpful & polite staff.

Ideal business stop overThe room was very small but I wanted a cheap option and somewhere to sleep nothing more - this provided ideal. While the internet is only officially available in public spaces i had a good connection and was able to work in the evening on my presentation for the following day. The shared bath room and toilet were clean and always available. About 20 mins idilic walk along the rier to the city (probably less good if it raining although there are buses that run the route. The food is home made and good wholesome quality. £6 a good portion main meal. I actually went back after my meeting to try and get food before i left.

Excellent value and very friendly hotel.Our room was very nice and comfortable. The only slight problem was that it was not as clean as we would have wished which was a real shame because everything else about our stay was very good. The room wasn't filthy by any means, it was just a bit more dusty than expected. Since we have a baby who is crawling around and is pulling himself up on things the fact that the room wasn't spotless was an issue. The staff were lovely at breakfast and the food was good. We would recommend this hotel as excellent value and it is very convenient for exploring Cambridge.

Nice place to stayWe had a nice time at this place. The house is huge and very well decorated. Cosy atmosphere and nice people. Well situated from town centerand big car park if you're driving there.

Good accommodation, close to town with a reasonable walk. A good pub, restaurants and supermarket close. Accommodation was clean, quiet and warm. Breakfast was also good.
