Nice Hotel but services not up to par, for example Fitness center not opened prior to 3 PM and need to go back to the reception 2 floors down to get towels when using the swimming pool. Excellent restaurant facilities both buffet type & a la carte,at reasonable prices. Had unusual experience when using massage service,caught by surprise by spontaneous basic additional services provided discreetly without asking.

Hotel was fine, good location. Warning about the massage service - services include "above and beyond" offers and price keeps going down! Not what I would call legitimate massage services, so you may want to shop around for a more professional option.

A little out of date but adequate for the price. Had an unusual experience with the hotel massage service. Dress of masseuse was more suggestive than other locations and I was offered "additional services" for $100 US. Felt very uncomfortable and would not recommend - plenty of other legitimate services available.

Great choice in Halong before starting off with a cruise. A little detached from the street restaurants area

Halong Plaza is still one of the nicest hotels in Halong. As the Novotel (already open and Sheraton under construction) open it will push the Plaza down the pecking order a little. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel as a little out of the main centre but I think that adds to the tranquility. The views across the bay are spectacular.
