Local tips: Few places on Lanzarote or indeed in the Canaries are quite as glam or chich as the island's Marina Rubicon, a veritable oasis lying between the fabulous beaches of Papagayo and Playa Blanca, it is well worth the visit if only to take in the marvellous sight of the expensive yachts and boats bobbing in their mooring or sample the food from the fine restaurants lining the harbour , sip drinks in one of the bars as you watch the sparkling waters dazzle in the sunshine or wonder at the beautiful sun setting into the sea.
