The house was build at the beginning of the 20th century and changed into a hotel in the 80's. You can find it in a nice lane with other stately mansions. The building has some unique art-deco details among which a beautiful glass door in the breakfast room. The name 'Gulden Vlies' originates from the order of knights that was founded in 1430 by Filips de Goede in Brugge.

The coast is 20 minutes away, Gent 30 minutes and Antwerp and Brussels is one hour away by car. In the surrounding area, there are many tourist routes to explore. We recommend to cycle to Damme, Lissewege and enjoy the beautiful flemish Polder landscape.

All rooms have been refurbished to look really nice and cosy, and are very comfortable, with special attention being paid to offering you comfort when sleeping.

We have chosen a stylish combination of beige, aubergine and ebony wood, together with antique wardrobes and a good eye for detail.

The breakfastbuffet can be found in the breakfastroom on the groundfloor. It is a spacious and cosy room with a high ceiling, wooden floor, nice mantelpieces and paintings.
The buffet offers you a big choice : cereals, buns, bread, an omelet or soft boiled egg, cheeses and cold cuts, jam, honey, yoghurt, fruit and fruitjuice. Of course accompanied by tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.

All children under 2 years are charged EUR 2.50 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.

With the car the easiest way is to follow the E40 until you see a sign for Brugge (exit 8). You stay on the N31 until you see a sign for Brugge (center). You're on the N351/Bevrijdingslaan . At the third lights you turn left onto the ringroad (R30) up to Ezelpoort ( one of the old entrance gates into the center over the water). The hotel is on the right side of the road.
On our side of the street there is a parkinglimit of 4 hours (from 9am to 7pm). It's best to park the car on the other side of the street where you can leave the car as long as you want for free.

If you come by train you can take bus nr. 3 or 13 up to busstop Ezelpoort. Our hotel is just diagonally across the street
