The hotel needs to have better up keep on the Dome room. The floor has mildew on it the children play area was horrible. They need to clean it up. They need to clean the pool. The rooms are not clean looking. The shower in our room had a huge crack in the wall that they just through caulking on it instead of replacing it. The brochure they have shows a beautiful place but in reality it does not reflect what it really looks like.

I stayed here a few nights ago in one of the theme suites with my husband. I had read the reviews but living in the area I had always wanted to stay here. A few weeks ago I came by the hotel after work and a nice lady took me on a tour of several of their newer theme rooms. I was excited to surprise my husband with one of the New York rooms, since he lived in New York most of his life. I booked the room of my choice at the front desk. I set up a surprise for my husband, he was ecstatic to visit the New York room! It's got a statue of the Statue of Liberty. It has a loft and the decor is very posh and refined. The room was cozy and artistic and gave me some decorating ideas for my family room at home! When I checked in the front desk staff googled directions to a place to eat. I had heard about a restaurant in Cincinnati and they helped me to find it and even printed up directions. When my husband saw the room he was fell in love with it! The room was very clean, the amenities were great. We decided to check out the pool area. We didn't swim but we enjoyed a game of pool and a dip in the waterfall hot tub! We loved it here. Checking out was nice, the front desk staff were very friendly and personable. They gave us a frequent guest card at check-in. I got a nice gift basket for a good price. The front desk even helped me to find a good florist to order flowers for our room. We'll be coming back here for our anniversary's and just to get away for a while. Very personable front desk staff, very quiet and posh room, well worth it for anyone wanting to celebrate their wedding night or something special.

NA. Everything. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We stayed in 6 different hotels this week and we ended with this one after driving 12 hours. When we first got in the room my husband saw on the door it said to keep deadbolt locked at all times while in the room for our safety. It just gets worse from there. I'd say I want my money back but I know that won't happen.

First room was at the end of the second floor dark, smelly hallway. When I opened the door, the stagnant smell of smoke slapped me in the face. I went to front desk to ask for another room and they were very polite when I told them I have allergies and asthma. I was moved to the first floor to the handicap room towards the front of the building. The ice machine was right around the corner and the roar of falling ice startled me a couple of times during the night. There were three dim bulb lights over the bathroom sink, one of which was burned out. As far as other lights in the bedroom, one was burned out and one had no bulb in it at all. When I went back to the front desk to get light bulbs. The handle was falling off the regulator in the shower which made it hard to get something between scalding and freezing. The towels were thin and scratchy and the face cloth was thread bare. The collection of sofa, bedspread, curtains, and carpet appeared to come from left over collections from remodeled rooms. The pillows were flat and floppy. The pool area was great and would be fun for kids-one positive thing.

Nothing! Everything. I did not like it. Very dirty, even moved to another room and it was dirty as well! Poor maintenance, building in need of major repair and cleaning. Had to leave and get another room at another hotel. The pool was dirty as well.

This place is so gross. I was afraid of contracting something the room was so dirty. The only redeeming quality was the pool. I would not take my family there again. The room was FILTHY. I wasn't expecting something extraordinary, but this was just gross!

Our stay was wonderful. You had to go outdoors to get to the pool area if you stayed in one of the theme rooms. Nice clean family or romantic get away.

My kids really enjoy staying here because it is such a family place and they have a great play area and even a kiddie pool!

Absolutely nothing, our twenty year anniversary was spoiled. We did not stay the second night. Dirty, Cold, Loud heater, Noisy overhead at 3 a.m. Coffee like water, OJ frozen, donuts stale. Manager nasty. I would not even take my grand kids there for a day at the pool after experiencing the night there. The bed dipped in the middle, light bulbs burned out, heater roared an got too hot. Noisy upstairs at 3 a.m. due to whirlpool. We did not call the desk because the sign in room said to report any problems within the first 30 minutes. We dropped off our suitcases and joined friends for dinner so our half hour was long over when we found these problems. When I mention this to the manager he was rude and nasty, said it was our own fault for not calling them for another room. I find it hard to believe any other room would have been any better. At the "breakfast" lounge (5 tiny tables and 8 chairs) the juice was still frozen, milk was warm, coffee watered down, tiny off-brand donuts and bread was stale. Floors were dirty (months of grit build-up). Still we had been looking forward to our twentieth wedding anniversary in a romantic setting, this hotel spoiled it for us.

The WIldwood Inn was not at all what we expected. It is an older hotel, so I wasn't expecting top-of-the-line anything, but the whole place reeked of stale cigarettes. The lighting in the room was poor. There was no fan in the bathroom, so the small mirror fogged over completely after a shower, leaving the space unusable to get ready to leave the room. The bed in our room had a definite slant to the left, leaving my husband feeling like he was going to fall off in the middle of the night. The towels were small, thin, and scratchy, and I was made to feel like I was stealing them when I asked for an extra. The pool was in a different building from our room, which would have been OK if there had been changing facilities in the pool area, but there wasn't. We had to walk outside soaking wet in our bathing suits to return to our room - in March, it was not the most pleasant weather. The pool itself was mostly nice. It included a climbing playplace for kids, but it was closed down "due to water." In a pool area... ??? The trash cans desperately needed emptying around the pool, though I can overlook that somewhat because someone had a birthday party there the night before. By 10am, though, someone should have cleaned that up.I chose this hotel for my family because of the "themed" aspect of it. I thought it would be something fun and different from the usual "hotel with a pool." We would have been happier at the Holiday Inn, and I will not be staying t the Wildwood again. The idea was great - the execution was not.

Good location, indoor pool. Price for what you get. The main thing we did not like as a family visiting this hotel is that the hot tub is blocked off from the pool area, so adults do not get to enjoy the hot tub unless they leave their children unattended---which we would not do. The pool used to be visible from the hot tub. I would not visit there again with children just for that reason. I would rather stay in a hotel that had the hot tub and pool in the same area and pay the same price that Wildwood charges. One thing I did notice was that the hotel is much cleaner than it was when we visited a couple of years ago.
