The hotel was a good price for a place to lay our heads. Had to use a whole can of Lysol and burned a few candles to try and get rid of the smell....mildewed shower curtain.....to say the least. Was a short drive to the harbor and to the beach. This was what we intended. Will probably not stay again. Hotel did not upgrade anything....most do nowdays.

Parking lot clean. Broken toilet in room and lobby. Embarrassed to take my wife there, filthy room toilet and shower were not functioning and staff admitted there was a problem they could not fix.

Our stay was NOT what I expected, yes we had a view of the ocean, but to get there was nearly impossible without driving. The hotel smelled like mold or mildew, and there were cigarette butts and garbage all over the parking lot. It is located is a "not so good" part of Oceanside located right next to strip club. Not ideal for a family. The pool looked nice though. Staff was not so friendly, couldnt understand english which made it difficult to ask for more towels. We would not stay here again even if it was free!!!!!

Clean and friendly. Nicely equiped, spacious room.

Hot: If you don't mind walking it's a great location near the beach and the price is right. Staff is helpful, room was clean, great if you just need a bed to sleep in. Cold: Parking close to your room is near impossible if you are located on the south side. The shower temperature constantly fluctuates between scalding hot and freezing cold. Don't eat at the restaurant attached to the hotel food is overpriced and not that great.

Close to the ocean. Other guests were loud partier midnight.

I was so surprised by the size of the room for the cost. It was great. The only thing was that yes it did have a ocean view but there was no easy way to get to the beach from the hotel. I think that should be in the description of the hotel it is kind of misleading.

Hotel was wonderful. Location outstanding. Staff friendly and extremely cooperative. Clean and restful after a full day of softball

The bed was very comfortable. Room was small and crowded with furniture. I was very pleased. The room was small but nice and the bed was very comfortable. Everything worked well. Water was hot. It had a nice little balcony form which to enjoy the ocean breeze.

The room did not feel clean, there were roaches and was next to a strip joint. I was not familiar with the area so a little more details about the surrounding would have been nice. Will not go back

Convenient location. Cleanliness. Bedspread had a large stain on it and room was not real clean. Expected more from an inn and suite hotel.

The beds were like rocks there was only 5 minutes of hot water and the toilet would clog with a kleenex

I like the ease of finding it. Everything. The room smelled nice when we went in. As we went to bed the mattress smelled musty, the shower was dirty, roaches in the shower, blankets were torn, laid in the bed looked up and spider webs all on the ceiling.

the room was very large and quite spacious for us. the staff was very pleasant and corteous to us. Much more then we have gotten for the money in our other accomadations. close to the beach area and our view of the beach was great. very relaxing stay would stay there again on our next trip out.

Staff was very friendly. I had a colony of spiders residing in the bathroom. Friendly staff, but bad location. We had a colony of little spiders that just hatched in our bathroom. They tried to clean it up a bit, but there were still plenty of spiders around - needless to say, I did not use the shower the next morning during our one night stay.

My experience was great because I got there checked in and went to my room to sleep. I got up showered and left with no disturbances throught the night and a quick check out. Thats just what I was looking for.

I've stayed in hotel. Clean and well maintained. Good price. Close to beach and other sightseeing locations. Lots of things to do within walking distance. Will stay again.

The Guesthouse Inn and Suites in Oceanside is not a hotel for someone who wants amenities. This is more of a motor-court for the traveler who needs a functional, dependable place to sleep for the night. It is pricey for what you get, but when you compare it to other California hotels, it is in the price range you would expect. The staff was courteous and polite, and the room was clean. It's not a 5 star hotel, but if I had to stay in Oceanside again (for a quick night) I would stay there again.

The best thing about our stay at this hotel was the continental breakfast. It wasn't fancy, but met my kids hunger needs. The hotel was not clean, under the staircase up to the room was filthy! I can only imagine how everything else was taken care of! The hotel room is outdated and the staff was not as friendly as I would expect. I understand this isn't a 5 star hotel, but that shouldn't mean no customer service. When I walked in the lobby in the morning the clerk at the front desk didn't even acknowledge I walked in. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling and the tub didn't drain very well. The bed sheets felt like sandpaper and the room smelled. The only positive thing I can say about this was the continental breakfast. The hotel is in a good location.

When greeted by the gentleman on a late night check in, I was totally accomodated with the warmest of aloha greeting. My stay was short, I was exhausted and awoke late by the phone call at the front desk, as it was past check out time. The staff were MORE than generous in allowing me an extra hour to wake up and gather my things to check out. I am completely appreciative for their kind gestures ansd unstanding. i will stay at the Guest house Inn every time a place is needed in that area. I will recommend the Guesthouse Inn to any one traveling in that are with the needs of place to rest their heads. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to The Guesthouse Inn and Staff members! Warmest Aloha.
