Okay room, but the breakfast was really disappointing (and crammed into the tiny foyer). If you're willing to drive the extra 15 miles, stay at the Howard Johnson in Post Falls: it's nicer, and it's the same price.

Too old and too noise.

Manager initially refused to honor non-smoking request because we booked on the internet, thank goodness for the other clerk. Manager was rude and defensive. No place to sit for the free breakfast which was toast and english muffins, coffee maker wasn't working one day rooms were quite small and although they said 5 people would fit there was no room for a roll away bed.

We had an extremely dirty room. There was a huge layer of dust on the TV. There was coffee mess all the way up the wall in the bathroom area. There was mold growing in the bathtub. There were spots of god knows what on the chair. The windows had mold and a haze on them.

It smelled, the beds had springs you could feel by sitting on it. The lobby smelled like burnt popcorn or sesame oil. The room smelled like sweet perfume. What was the sweet odor trying to cover up? The wall was splotchy painted.

Hotel is very plain from outside but surprisingly cute and decorated well on the inside. We were looking for an inexpensive hotel to stay overnight. Good location to walk to restaurants. Rooms were new and very clean. Hotel is very simple, no pool and hot tub. Great place to stay overnight with no frills. Basic items: room coffee, breakfast, hair dryers. That's all I needed.

Convenient access. Poor access from parking to interior of building. TV picture kept flipping. Close to major roads, yet quiet.

We stayed during a convention in town. The rooms were remodeled with new beds, furniture & carpet. The housekeepers & front desk staff were excellent in making us feel right at home. Rooms were VERY clean and wireless internet was fantastic! If you are looking for a great clean place to stay without paying outrageous prices for services you will not use, GuestHouse Inn is the place to stay!

The GuestHouse Inn Coeur d'Alene was not the most elegant hotel (I use this term LIGHTLY in reference to this place) I have ever stayed in. This is NOT a place to stay for the handicapped as they have NO elevator. Though in my opinion, you do get what you pay for...a place to put your stuff and sleep in (even if the walls are so thin that you can hear the people staying in the next room snore all night long!) as well as shower. It is very conveniently located, minutes from downtown CdA, not far from the freeway. The so called continental breakfast is not your traditional type, but it'll do if your hungry until you can get to somewhere with real breakfast fare. Maybe there is something to say for small town dumpy hotels though..the staff was the NICEST that I've ever encountered in a hotel of motel! They were very pleasant!

In my opinion it was overpriced! No elevator and an very ancient property. The wireless internet did not function and inspite of several calls to the front desk the issue was never resolved.l I had the opinion that they really didn't care. This was definitely one of the worst properties I have ever stayed in, business or personal.

The manager was wonderful, helpful and friendly. The rest of the staff was the same. Dirty, smelly, dank, bad paint, in need of renovation. I expected a one star economy to be small with no frills. They got that part right. I did not expect a dirty smelly place. I will never stay at another Guesthouse Inn.

this hotel is as plain wrap as it gets. small lobby, where the continental bfast is to be served, there is no place to sit down. shabby carpet, no elevators in a three story hotel. there are no features to this place. no pool, no internet,no fitness room, no nothing!!! only stay here if every other place is sold out.

The room was large enough to move around in. There was plenty of storage for our belongings and housekeeping kept up on the room. On our second day our room key would not work so we had to get them to rescan our keys. The hotel is centrally located with stores and restaurants very nearby. They provided us with a nice continental breakfast more than toast/muffin and juice. There were vending machines on the floor with an ice machine which was very convenient. We had access to wireless internet, cable TV, coffee maker with condiments and microwave/fridge for our use in the room. The bathroom was complete with a tub/shower and was fully stocked with clean towels, soap and shampoos. The beds were comfortable with plenty of bedding. We also enjoyed air conditioning.

Price and location. No pool, small lobby, filthy carpets in rooms and common areas. Good price. Location was good. Could pass on all else. No pool. Carpets were filthy. AC unit was noisy & broken. Lobby/breakfast area were very small.

Nothing. The place was full of tattoos and smoke. Dirty entrance with giant overflowing ashtray, very smoky/no air conditioning in hallways or lobby. Absolutely dreadful. No one seemed to know the rate. We completely skipped the breakfast - only 2 tables. We didn't expect the Ritz but a clean/updated room like Shilo Inn would have been good. We will never be back-a tent would be better with the fresh air.

They allowed pets-a big plus! There was some hair left in the room, probably from the cleaning staff. It wasn't anything special, but exactly what we needed. A nice place to stay the night with our two pups.
