Superb value. Not extremely fancy or modern but very nice, with comfortable beds, nice modern tv, with a fairly cute appearance. It was everything I expected and hoped for, not more, but not less. I enjoyed the walk along the street, and it didn't hurt that a 7-11 convenience market was next door. Not world class but a nice place to spend the night.

Same price as other name brand hotels, but overpriced for what you get. They advertise free breakfast to include cereals, milk and coffee. We saw neither. The only coffee available is the weak pre-measured bags in your room you can "brew' yourself. The prepackaged pastries they did have ran out quickly before 9 a.m. We had to ask for more. The toilet had almost no water pressure. We had to call for repair twice (we were only there for 2 nights). We were told there were many complaints similar to ours regarding the toilet. The hotel was a little run down. We could see many places on the walls where previous items had been, yet the walls were not repainted to cover those areas, so the different paint colors were very obvious. The shower door barely closed. There were 4 of us, so having the only sink & toilet in the same area & room as the shower was inconvenient. Not a very modern design.

The hotel had a great Mexican/Mediteranean feel to it. The rooms were comfortable, very clean, and nicely furnished. There were several tables and chairs on the grounds around the pool and on the lawn that made restful places to read, relax, and talk. The computer was free to use and I was able to print all the material that I needed. Very helpful staff.

We had an awful experience at this hotel. It was way overpriced because it was during Fiesta, and the room was so small you could barely turn around in it. The shower was so small you had to turn the water off to soap up. It was also dirty - a spot of what looked like blood on the floor of the bathroom when we checked in. The worst part was that their "continental breakfast" was nothing more than Ding Dongs and Twinkies and sugary drinks - they said the coffee was in the room, but was the usual barely drinkable stuff. Finally, the staff was rude when we complained. It costs a little more to stay at the Best Western Peppertree Inn, but SO worth it. On the upside, the bed was very comfortable, and the pool was well maintained, though quite small.

This is a low class MOTEL, not a hotel. It is a very old-fashioned Motel 6 type that was painted 1980's peach several years ago. The parking is cramped and often full, and there are many monthly resident families living on-site, which is very deceiving and annoying, considering they are always hanging out with the doors open, smoking cigarettes in their underwear. It's like a trailer trash hotel. Not at all like the rest of the Guesthouse Inn's I have stayed at. There are several much nicer motels around the area for the same price, and they don't have transients living there permanently.

GuestHouse Inn has a good location and relies heavily on the ambience supplied by the former property owners. In our room, the bath tub needed to be replaced and the door lock was worn and difficult to operate. The continental breakfast was sparse and disappointing, with no toaster available. This property has a long way to go in order to be considered a first class accomodation. The location is a saving grace, being very near shopping and restaraunts, as well as the Fairgrounds.

The outside was more attractive than I expected; nice garden feel for a very small motel. The comfort of the bed was better than some places I've stayed and the staff seemed nice enough. But... The free continental breakfast consisted of Twinkies and DingDongs sitting next to the reception desk. Who has that for breakfast??? If you want coffee you have to make it in your room. I chose to drive down the street to get my breakfast (so much for free). The in-room hairdryer didn't work. The bathroom was one of the dirtier ones I've seen in any accommodations. The furniture looked pretty worn and there were unpatched holes and unpainted patches on the walls. This could be a pretty good value if they would invest in a little more maintenance and provide a true continental breakfast (or not advertise that they have one).

This hotel has a lot of potential: it's well- located and the staff is very friendly. The room we had was a spacious double with a couch and a separate kitchen with dining area. It was really more like a small studio apartment. It was clean, but definitely could use some updating: the couch and rug were worn; the shelf in the bathroom was falling off; the kitchen was really old, but the refrigerator worked fine (we didn't try the stove). However, there weren't any privacy curtains on the kitchen window, and our view was of an alley and an abandoned shopping cart. We've been in a lot more luxurious hotels for less money, but this was the least expensive hotel we could find for a holiday weekend.
