Guesthouse 1 x 6 is positioned in the old cultural part of Keflavik overlooking the ocean and surrounded by the creative community and lava!This accommodation is uniquely designed and run by local wood sculptor, Daniel son of Sigmund and offers the discerning traveller a rustic and truly original environment. Attention to detail is paramount and the wellbeing of our guests ensured by the singular choice of building material. In the garden you are invited to enjoy our one of a kind Thermal Bath. Our concept of a guesthouse is to provide the traveller not only with a good night sleep but an experience to remember. We have chosen to focus on creating an interior that opens the senses and enlivens the spirit of young and old alike. The house was worked with joy and an endless sense of magic. It is our observation that life is enriched when our surroundings contain natural materials, as well as making a conscious effort to treat our environment with respect. This has been our focus in the creation of each room. Iceland is fast becoming a destination linked to wellness, largely due to the Blue Lagoon, which we neighbour to. At the 1 x 6, Daniel has created a virtual private garden spa in the shape of an Ocean-stone hot pot. Natural Geothermal water is used to fill this mini-pool, which holds 8 people comfortably. For your comfort we provide each visitor with slippers that walk you straight to those waters at the end of the day.
