While the rtoom was generally large, fresh and clean, the bathroom was dark, exceedingly small and pokey. The bar served terrible drinks: it was out of ingredients; made short drinks and made them incorrectly. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful as was a maintenance man who quickly repaired a noisey fan.

Staff is very friendly and very helpful. That I was not on the top floor (just kidding) it was all great! The view was great out our window. The location was within walking distance to so many excellent restaurants. It was quiet at night the bed was so very comfortable.

The hotel is beautiful, the lobby is inviting. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. The hotel has a lovely restaurant on the ground floor, and is within walking distance of many excellent restaurants, bars, a movie theatre, the Basque Block, and the 8th St. Marketplace. We drove out to the Shakespeare Festival and saw Into the Woods, an excellent production. When we got back to Boise we wandered the streets, enjoyed the Basque Festival and had a lovely time.

I want to get out of town and surprise my soon to be husband with a night out on the town and a great place to stay. It was a very romantic night the hotel was awesome. I felt very comfortable in the room and we never had so much fun.

Close to downtown. The pool-it's a lap pool in the gym, not family oriented. Very nice.

First of all,the rooms are beautiful and comfy but the overall stay was VERY disappointing. Everything is "ala carte" phone, parking, TV(although smut TV was free) Also, we were attending a function at Qwest arena & wanted to check out ofour room an hour later so we could go up to our room for lunch but was told no . Apparently they were going to have a madrush on a Sunday night . The staff was very aloof. Hated to ask for anything for fear we were putting them out. I'm a firm believer the more you pay, the less you get especially at the Grove. Won't be back.My money can better be spent elsewhere.

Good downtown location, spacious rooms. Staff was adequate at best, carpet was very dirty, and dishes sat in hall for 10+ hours. Valet and desk staff set the tone for the entire stay -- doing their job, at best, and nothing more. Wait staff at restaurant continued the theme -- coffee cups sat empty and service in general was slow. Room was large enough and well decorated. Carpet was filthy -- our 9 month old knees and sock tops were caked in dirt from crawling in our room. Room service dishes of entire floor sat in the hallway overnight and much of the next day.

I came to Boise to meet some of my friends and to party out on the town. So if you want to enjoy the surprisingly good nightlife in Boise, The Grove presents by far your best option. It is situated right in the center of everything. The hotel itself was very nice and clean. The restaurant and bar were both great, and the staff at each was friendly. For the money, this hotel can't be beat for the weekend traveler.

Perfect downtown location. Slightly dated. Beautiful. Great location. Lots of entertainment and dining nearby. Had a great experience and a great view.

"Not enough parking for guests even though they charge you per night. Arrived at 10pm Saturday night. Parking, including valet, full. Desk directed us to garage down the street. Full. Told clerk, shrugged and said, ""Huh... sorry. Try another garage."" Drove around 90mins looking open garage. Went to lobby to complain. ""Eh... sorry, nothing we can do.!"" Manager wouldn't talk to us either! Drunks from football game and weddings, running around lobby and halls screaming. Called security at !2:30am due to noise. Not coming back!!!"

Location. Parking was very cramped and we had to pay for it.

If you ask for the mountain view on a weekend; it could get a little noisy. The valley view is the quieter side but not as pretty. Love having a pool/hot tub and room service. Nicely redone rooms and very convenient to live it up on "the town". All in all a fun place to stay and worth the price.

Beautiful hotel, GREAT location to downtown. The extreme partying of the majority of the guests. The hotel itself was beautiful. Perfect to walking to downtown activities and restaurants. Strong drinking atmosphere that was not great with having a young family. Still, we were glad for the experience.

"There was no way to turn off the heat on the floor of the bathroom, and the A/C did not cool enough."

Excellent location, VERY clean, safe nice place to stay. That I had to pay extra to use the gym, digital radio, and only had basic cable. Extremely nice hotel. The bedding was comfortable and bathroom was clean. I wish there had been a small microwave and small fridge in the room. I would have liked to have a better than basic cable. The TV should be at least 25inch and it wasn't. I liked getting the daily newspaper. The toiletries were very good. I didn't have any problems with the staff. There were all pleasant to deal with. It really would have been nice to have a place to put my doggy bag and a place to reheat it the next day. It also would have been nice to have 2 sitting chairs to relax in and chit chat and look out over the city from the window. I did have a good time, with some minor upgrades my stay could have been more comfortable.

"The Grove was nothing short of spectacular. The staff, guest services and rooms are amazing. Beautiful, great view, fluffy towels, exceptional place to stay. I've never had such a pleasant experience at a hotel in all my traveling. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates exceptional service and accommodations."

The staff was very friendly. Maids came in room before I even woke up. It was a great staff members, I enjoyed it very much but the maids coming into the room 2 times before I woke was kind of bothersome.

"nothing is free, local calls cost, parking costs, water costs, you have to go to the fourth floor to get to the fifth floor to get to the pool or hot tub, the parking garage elevator is across the lobby from the other elevators, your card account is charged double until after you're gone to make sure they get paid enough then the account is credited back what they don't want. This is not Idaho hospitality. A Black eye on our friendly state"

"Okay I have to admit the price of this hotel is a liittle up there for Boise. But there is no place I would rather stay. Its the only hotel in the heart of old downtown Boise, With in walking distance to food, boose, and fun Check out the Chicago Pizza or stop for a drink at the many bars that line the street. Great location thats all i have to say."
