Outside, all that Montana has to offer is at your disposal - the grandeur of Glacier National Park, the ski slopes of Big Mountain and a remarkable number of trout streams and some of the country*s finest fairways and greens. No other full-service, year-round resort makes it easier to enjoy a quintessential Montana experience. Very helpful front desk, free shuttle into town was key! Rooms were nice and clean, however a little stale in decor. Ideal for golfers and outdoors man. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free shuttle into town was very handy (although downtown is not far, weather permitting the walk would be nice).

The room was HUGE, with the bathroom down a hallway so if you're in the bedroom you really can't hear bathroom noises. Separate vanity area with mirror and lights outside the bathroom. Coffee maker with Montana Coffee Roasters coffee, hair dryer (tethered so it can't be stolen, that's a bit of a pain), bathrobes, nice big TV. We chose a room on the top floor so it had a cathedral ceiling and lots of windows. The windows have wooden shutters rather than blinds, a nice touch. And the bedroom is very large, with a big arm chair, desk & chair, side tables, and an armoire for the TV and there was still a lot of floor space left. Functional, boring, good sized, had dings in the linoleum and the vanity was a little beat but maybe if you're serving the ski bum crowd they're a little rough on the furnishing? Good water pressure, water drinkable and apparently not chlorinated, or at least no so's you'd smell/taste it. The entry way had loads of hooks, very helpful for hanging coats etc and again probably a nod to the ski crowd. Also a closet for hanging clothes. The staff really shone. They have a free shuttle service that will drop you off and pick you up in town and elsewhere (we just went to town in it). Staff were friendly and helpful and you never got a sense they were mentally holding their hands out for a tip. The restaurant staff were great. We had two meals here, one breakfast and one dinner, and both were very good. French onion soup is a specialty; fabulous and filling with onion "strings" piled on top. Believe it or not, the veggie burger was really good! Made with beans, flavorful. no room for more ...

I've stayed many times at Grouse Mountain Lodge and were pleased as always, but now even better with the new room decor.

The lodge was very nice. Staffs were all very helpful and friendly. Room was always clean. Food was great! Didn't always have towels available in the swimming-hot tub area. Would definitely recommend grouse mountain lodge as a nice place to stay. Staff was all helpful and friendly, rooms were kept very clean, restaurant had wonderful food and service, and shuttle service was top-notch. Can't say enough good about our time spent their. Would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed several times at Grouse Mountain Lodge and was pleased to find on my last visit that they have renovated their guest rooms. The decor has a Montana feel with new bedding and art work.

We stayed a week will roaming Glacier Natl. Park. The main hall and dining area were very nice. The rooms and common hallways needed updating bad. With a makeover, this place would be great.
