The staff here was friendly, professional and simply delightful. The room was huge with 2 TV's and a separate sitting area. I am rather picky when it comes to hotels and was hesitant about staying here but the room was very clean and DID NOT have any strange odors and I would certainly stay here again. They offer a free hot breakfast with lots of choices and it was nicely prepared. There's a restaurant in walking distance in addition to the hotel bar/restaurant and a Walmart right across the street.

Location, food was good, had a laundry. Beds are horrible-can feel the springs in your back. Good location to Mystic Seaport. Beds are very old and uncomfortable. Can feel the springs in your back. Rooms are very large. Need some serious updating. No pool at this hotel. Hotel gave us a hard time about a free breakfast and said it didn't come with a Priceline purchase but finally gave in an provided the complimentary breakfast that they advertise in all the printings of the hotels at the travel centers. Great location near Mystic Seaport which is fun to visit.

I had a real good time at this hotel. Not only did they upgrade my room to a suite whan I checked in . The suite had a full kitchen. The housekepping crew were very helpfull and friendly. It was ten minutes from the casinos.I enjoyed myself.

Service very poor, did not met my expectations.

The Groton Inn had average rooms. The room was very spacious, and had an ample closet. The breakfast was excellent and it was served from 7 to 12 which is a long time. The hotel is by the highway so it is convenient.

Easy cab ride to Mohegan Sun. Slightly outdated.

The hotel is an ok hotel but they host parties (weddings, etc) in their three ballrooms and then the drunk guest return the their rooms and make drunken scenes in the halls and rooms. This wouldn't be so bad if the walls weren't paper thin. I didn't get any sleep my first night and called the front desk 4 times asking for a room change only to be told they couldn't accommodate (mind you the front desk witnessed the drunken stupidity first hand). My birthday wasn't that happy....

It was near the highway.

The Groton Inn was very nice. The room was spacious and very clean. We especially liked that it had a livingroom area seperate from the sleeping area with a refridgerator and microwave. This was very handy since the hotel did not have any kind of room service or resturant to speak of. They did serve breakfast and we were given FREE breakfast vouchers which was a pleasant surprise. We would definitely stay at the Groton Inn & Suites again.

Groton Inn and Suites is a very comfortable environment. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which was a great convenience. The bathroom was designed well for physically challenged individuals. The hotel is close to shopping. My stay was very enjoyable.

It was a convenient location. The staff wasn't overly friendly. It was really conveniently located - close to Mystic, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. The room was okay, the coffee in the rooms was awful.

Very friendly hotel staff. I will recommend this hotel to everybody. I feel myself like I am living in my own home. It’s very good hotel.

Staff was very accommodating. Location seemed very confusing to find points of interest.

The hotel was decently clean, despite how outdated it was. The beds were the worst beds I have ever slept on, in a hotel or otherwise! The beds were so uncomfortable, we actually checked out early, staying only one of the two nights. One half of my (full) bed was completely worn and the other half was rock hard. They need to invest in some decent beds. I have never experienced anything like this at any other hotel or motel. Also, the air conditioner was poorly placed, about 2 feet away from one of the beds, so the on-off noise from the AC unit kept me awake. The bathroom was extremely small. As far as cleanliness, it was decently clean. Everything about the place was extremely outdated. I would not recommend this hotel.

Smoke smell at entrance was appalling. This hotel is definitely for a traveler who wants to rough it a little. The price for the night was far too great for the lack of effort put into this hotel and its' rooms.

Quick access to Root 95 and very easy to find! I wish it was a tiny bit closer to Mohegan Sun but it was not too far. Arrival was quick and painless as well as check in. My room was not actually in the guts of the hotel. It was in what seemed to be a couple of houses on the property that were made into separate suites. It was clean, easy to find and close. The bed could have been a tad bit bigger and more comfy but it served its purpose. I would stay there again!

There was a full kitchen in our suite. NA. We had a wedding to attend in Groton and wanted to stay at a nice, clean hotel nearby. Upon arrival the receptionist told my husband we would be in a room with one double bed and that was all she had (not a queen or king bed nor a room with two double beds, any of which would be normal for the hotel industry in the US these days). I went back in and demanded a larger bed as our baby sleeps with us and a double bed was not sufficient. She came up with a king bed (that had a full kitchen in the room as well - don't know whether that's standard). The room was very dark, outdated, mixed furniture, and rather dank all around. The next morning we called to ask where the breakfast that was included with the room was served. I would pay more and stay elsewhere next time we have to stay in Groton.

The all you can eat Prime Rib Dinner was at a reasonable price and the staff was very nice. The smell of the room. We had a smoking room and did not smoke but it smelled very stale. The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. We went on the 4th of July weekend and even though it was busy it did not feel like it was crowded. It was in a good location as we went to Newport and Mohegan Sun. We would go back again but get a non smoking room!

Close to points of interest, close to highways. Rooms away from main building need updating; bathrooms have no ventilation. The people at the front desk were helpful enough. The hotel room was small. The bed was hard and lumpy. The A/C unit in the room did not function well; it was difficult to control the temp. Room too hot, it got stuffy and our noses stuffed up. If we turned the temp down, it got too cold in the room. We figured that the A/C unit needed its filters changed. Also, no ventilation at all in the bathroom (made it difficult to deal with the odors after using the toilet). But with all this, we must say that the room was clean when we arrived and cleaned each day of our stay.
