great hotel great service with wonderfull food only complaint would be that the room was a little on the small size as was the bed.

This is an excellent place to stay for visits to Chester and we will use it again. On the downside, the receptionist was very brusque at check-in and the food, while entirely edible, is not as exciting as their brochure would suggest.

Leisure facilities were great with a lovely big, clean pool etcMy room was fine, but very hot, despite it being cool outside, and with my window open i had the constant drone of a generator so my sleep wasn't the best. The food was acceptable, but not as good as i hoped, with an overdone steak one night and very greasy fajitas the next. Overall, the hotel was OK but i will try others in the area to find better.

Had a great 2 night stay. Leisure complex was excellent eventhough the water in the pool was a little chilly. Ate in the bar for both nights. Food was excellent. Room was a decent size and the bed was fantastic. Chester was a short bus journey away with the bus stop outside the hotel. Overall, would definitely go back.

Excellent Hotel - but can get busy on weekends due to weddings - there were two on one day on our last visit. Only other gripe was that the lamb was tough. Apart from that everything was Excellent. and recommended

This was an excellent, comfortable hotel. The only small complaint I had was that the prices in the restaurant and bar were rather high.

We were given a standard room which had no air conditioning. Despite a cool outside temperature during our stay, the room temperature was unbearably hot! The dining options at this hotel are excellent - a Mediterranean-style restaurant (on a Sunday it's a carvery), and you can also dine in the bar area - both are competitively priced in comparison to pubs and restaurants in the area. The price we paid for our room, which included English breakfast, represented good value for our Sunday night stay.

LOVELY HOTEL FOR A WEDDING VENUEWe stayed at this hotel for one night after attending a wedding at the hotel. The room was comfortable with quality furnishings. The bathroom was clean and modern with plenty of toiletries and towels. Although the room was small it was adequate for one or two nights. The breakfast area was modern and the food good. The bar was pleasant and food is available if required.

Great hotel, great location - will definately go back! The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and has a lovely country house feel. Check in was trouble-free and our standard room was more than adequate for our needs (purpose of stay was a family wedding) The room used for the civil ceremony was very pleasant and converted into the perfect reception room for the wedding breakfast. The catering was outstanding and the serving staff catered to any request. One of the guests on our table had special dietary requirements and alternatives had been sought with seamless efficiency. The spa facilities were of a 5 star standard and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products/treatments. I would definately recommend this hotel to family and friends and will be returning with my 4 year old later in the year as the hotel is close enough to the local attractions (Chester Zoo, Blue Planet, Tatton Park) to have a great family weekend but far enough away for you to feel you are away from the hustle & bustle of a big town/city - Really great experience!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food in the restaurant excellent, nice atmosphere, not too formal so good for the children. Had spacious room allocated. Excellent spa treatments.

ExtrasNot a major issue , however , would have expected the roomto have iron and ironing board

Loved everythung about the hotel apart from the room being very small for the price paid .the window was dirty too but we didn't let these small issues spoil a very nice stay in a hotel where the bar has a lively atmosphere, the brasserie served great steaks and the surroundings and staff were very pleasant. We would stay again and book a superior room.

the room was very nice however for the price that we paid the room was very small. I feel that the money paid was for the leisure faccilities rather than the quality of the accomodation.

Good location friendly staff, didn't have time to use the spa but will consider a return visit to use facilities, included breakfast was a treat worth having.

Fantastic hotel - setting very beautiful, clean and spacious rooms, swimming pool and liesure facilities excellent. Staff extremely helpful - I had a problem with the locking of my room and so was upgraded to the bridal suite with muinimum disruption! Would definitely stay here again.
