Grenadian By Rex Resorts St George's, is the best, close to the airport, great service, home away from home, its recommended to all

Spacious resort, in and out -very clean -room decor laid back, not lavish. But wait unitl you wake up. Dream view from hillside rm -ocean to the left with St Georges as background and tropical grounds w/lake below. Lovely pool with more outstaning views. The beach has shade trees. Remote area but many public minivans constantly ride the main road off the resort and stop to offer rides. Rode to St Georges (lunch at Nutmeg), Grand Anse Beach (lunch at 5 star Spice Island Beach resort), day tour of the island (beautiful coves and amazing tropical vegetation). REX main restaurant geared to customers on meal plan (Menus?) So dined a la carte at the REX lovely Oriental restaurant and found other lovely restaurants in the vicinity by taking walks (Dodgers, Beach House, Aquarium). Sampled much delicious cuisine fresh and presented with sophistication by highly trained restaurant staffs . A lovely vacation. Want to go back and cruise the Grenadines. Note: A little husling with those minivan tarifs - USD4 to anywhere, whether 5 or 15 mn, while the locals pay a small amount - but quick and friendly, and you get some local insight.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. For the price, it was above excellent staying here. The only complaint was that the sink was clogged for the entire trip.

The Grenadian was well located and staff were very friendly and accomodating. The surrondings were well kept and overall hotel was very clean.A good experience will definetly go back to this resort.

The Grenadian by Rex Hotel is very comfortable if you want to relax in Grenada. The room has its own AC unit, iron, iron board and hair drier, however, it only has two 110 V plug inlets, so if you come from the USA and are planning on using your own electrical appliances it might be a good idea to have a power converter available. The closet was ample and the color TV has cable signal. The room I got had a beachfront view and a porch (the shoreline was about 25 ft away). The hotel has very good facilities, the bar at the pool is one of the places to be in the island it has a great view of the Tamarind Bay and the beach. The swimming pool is medium size and not very deep, so it is ideal for children. The hotel has a scuba diving stand where you can also get gear for other water sports. I tried a Kayac that was in perfect operating conditions, the people there were very attentive and helpful when I was selecting the kind of activity that I wanted to do. The gift store below the swimming pool is really humble, but make sure to visit it because it has some craftmanships available that are a really good bargain. The Chinese/Indian restaurant in the hotel is not very good compared to some other places in the Eastern USA, the regular restaurant has a great breakfast buffet and acceptable lunch and dinner menus. Drinks at any of the bars are really good and if you have the all inclusive plan this service is a bargain. The service is better than in most places in the island and if you want a guided tour to visit St. George's or other interest places in the island ask one of the cab drivers in the hotel to be your guide, he was excellent and knew the best places to shop and sightsee in Grenada. Something very nice about this hotel is that it is located 5 minutes away from the airport, so there is no need to rush to the terminal to take your flight.

The Rex is a very well kept hotel. The staff are friendly and cater to your needs. In terms of location its about 15 minutes by bus to the the town of St. George's. The food was good but catered more to the tourist population so local food wasn't served much. The overall room was very nice but the shower was a little cramped. Other than that the hotel was great and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to have a relaxing vacation.
