This is honestly the worst hotel I stayed in my whole life!! The elevators were broken, the place stink, the service was terrible, everything was old and dirty. This is a 3 stars hotel so we were not expecting luxury but we were certainly expecting cleanness and good customer services. Honestly the only positive aspects were: location and free internet wireless.... Terrible would never ever stay there again and would not recommend either!

A wonderful location more than makes up for the lack of facilities- it is a budget hotel so do not expect 5*. Not unusual to wake up and find a cockroach in room- but it is the tropics! Would recommend as a value for money place to stay in the thick of the action!

This Hotel was Horrible, the bathrooms where dirty and the shower had bugs coming out of the faucet. The beds where small and uncomftorable, not to mention the sheets and towels felt like brillo pads, dont be fooled by the continental breakfast it looks like it was days old and the front of the hotel spells like urine. If your thinking about booking this find another hotel.

room safe. parking lot across street for 15 a night walk to main south beach clubs and bars. budget travellers are in the right spot. a walk is 15 minutes to main action. lot of cuban type cafes for cheap coffee and food

The room was very clean; that's where the positives end. First, the hotel has no parking... you may or may not find something close. I found space in a parking garage 5 blocks from the hotel. It gets worse. At sign-in you must sign an indemnity clause, and agree to be liable for any and all damages; not industry standard. I had the distinct impression that as a customer, I was the enemy! The owners were NOT customer friendly. Take my terms or get out best describes their attitude. In the bathroom, the pedestal sink was not even attached to the wall, and almost fell off the pedestal onto the floor when I leaned on it. According to the sign-in agreement, I would have had to pay for that. Stay here at your own risk! If anything goes wrong, you will be in for a credit card dispute!

Greenview was reasonably priced, reasonably clean, and friendly. Wireless ran fast (I more or less managed Skype using it). It's not polished, and there are some improvements that could be made without much effort, but overall a good experience: Positives: + Friendly staff, very clean day-to-day + Free safe in every room (I hate when hotels charge you because you don't trust their safety, and if people have to pay for a safe, most won't, and then a hotel has more valuables to entice thieves.) Negatives: - Could use a bit more attention to affordable details, like adding more drying racks. - The rug is wrong, slightly dank, and the deep-cleaning was fine for the budget for me but won't be for everyone. - Water pressure insufficient, shower temp changes (need low-flow toilets). Greening: - Not yet. It's particularly wasteful to have energy-hogging light bulbs heating a hotel where the air-conditioners run all day, or not to just put signs on the door reminding folks to shut the AC when they leave all day. Also, the shower head was old -- the same quality shower could be available with much less water. [If all of us reviewers include this info, all the hotels will be green in a year or two!] Conference/Business: + Right next to Miami Beach Convention Center, I think it was closer than the official hotel. Made it really easy to participate in the conference and helped keep my travel costs sane.

Check in took nearly two hours of waiting in the lobby with our luggage. The clerk was slow and incompetent and doesn't understand the importance of customer satisfaction. It seemed that the clerk was a teacher and us, the guests, the students - trying to correct us when we asked questions (I have never experienced this before, in any hotel, whatever quality).

the greenview is the worst hotel in south beach, but you get what you pay for. roaches partied and drank with me in my room and almost scared my girlfriend from even sleeping ove. once i confronted the staff about a change of room she told me theres nothing she can do. very rude. the room was big enough to spin around twice in. the shower was built for dwarfs fully equipped with a sloped ceiling making it very uncomfortable. the remote for the tv had no batteries and the tv had 4 working stations...all the same channel. the worst experience. thank god for the beach being a few blocks away or else i woulda slept in the airport. do not stay here.

The Greenview is what is referred to as an Art Deco hotel in Miami Beach. It was recommended to me and I had referred it to three friends who also stayed there. My own sense is that it could be straight out of an older movie about Central or South America. The room and bed were comfortable and clean. The walls needed a coat of paint some while ago. The air conditioning worked and was loud which helped blank out any other noises. The bath/shower and toilet worked well and towels etc were replaced daily. It was the first time I had ever sat on a toilet and had the toilet paper roll pressed into my side. Could have used it for an arm rest. Regarding the staff, they were all polite and helpful even if their english was not standard. The location though was really excellent being half a block from where the action starts in Miami Beach while the Hotel itself is fairly quiet. Also it was within five minutes quick walk to the Miami Beach Convention Center which was the center of my activities. The price I paid was reasonable which could not be said of some of the fancier hotels nearby. There is one computer with a 15 inch screen in a nook which is available for checking e-mail etc. All in all I would stay there again. But I would not recommend it to my pickier friends. ;)

The hotel was kept well, however it didnt meet our expectations on a few issues. We did not have hot water when we arrived. They also ran out of towels and wash cloths.
