Green Valley Ranch is a beautiful property. We really enjoyed being away from the crush of the strip. They do run a free shuttle to Mandalay Bay, easy to get to the strip but it is a pain to get back. It is a $40 cab ride for the return. Pool is great, we really enjoyed it but there are lots of kids. Staff is excellent and very friendly. Nice having "the District" mall so close. Reasonable prices for food and drink. Casino has lots of low limit tables and machines. If you are looking for clubs and excitement stay on the strip. If you want a nice pool, and a more relaxing environment I would highly recommend.

Always a good experience at the GVRR.

If you are looking for a relaxing , then GVR is the place for you. The pool was a little small for the size of the hotel, however it was a nice touch to have the sandy beach bottom. Also arrive early if you plan on staying poolside all day, because you will definitely need one of their portable umbrellas. The casino was also an unexpected highlight due to its smaller size and the variety of slot machines. There were always ample seats available at all times of the day. It was also nice to have the food court located nearby, as well as the 3-4 restaurants located on the casino floor. All had good food, but The Feast had the most reasonable prices. Be sure to sign up for their players card, too. Some drawbacks would be the hotel incidentals charge. We weren't informed of this daily fee which covered the slippers, newspapers, bottled water, etc. when we checked in. It would have been nice to have worn the slippers, had we known that we were paying for them daily. Also, if you miss their courtesy shuttle to the strip or airport, be prepared to pay between *for a one-way cab ride. You must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the shuttle time to pick up a numbered ticket to ride. If you are the 15th person...you are out of luck. All in all, we had a great time and would visit again. The nightly turn-down service was unexpected and nice, and all the rooms have doorbells too! So if you are looking for some Las Vegas heat and loose casino action, but not the hustle and bustle of the strip...then you should consider GVR.

Great attention to detail. Computer crashed. It lived up to my highest expectations.

This hotel is phenomenal! From the moment you walk into the lobby area, you'll know you're in for a treat. The decor is beautiful, the rooms exceptional! The service is excellent! The only minor detail I would give a second thought to is the main pool. Since it is connected to the sand pool, the water appears to be hazy and discolored somewhat. Sand tends to be pushed into the main pool area so walking on sand particles is a surprise when you're not expecting it. The cocktail waitresses and life guards at the pools are excellent as well!! Please be generous with tipping them. They go the extra mile to accommodate the guests in the HOT, HOT weather. They are real troopers! We will definitely stay again and bring the family next time.

The whole experience at this hotel is perfect from the friendly staff,to the cleanliness of the place, the spa,the pools, the rooms, the restaurants, eating at Hanks steakhouse is a most and the quiet atmosphere of the place is unmatched. I would highly recomend this place to anyone trying to get rid of the big crowds that stuff the hotels in the strip, being only as I said before 15 minutes away from the strip

Overall, the hotel, resort and spa is very nice. There was some freeway noise that could be heard from the spa pool (but not too bad). The only thing negative is that there was construction noise during my $180 spa massage. If I'm going to pay that much for a massage, I expect the treatment room to be quiet and relaxing. Nothing was done except an apology from the front desk (spa).

It was my first time at the Hotel and I was very impressed. Pool and spa were excellent, as well as restaurant, Hank's. Room was nice, but had problems with purchased movie (audio faded in and out). Orbitz failed to notify the Hotel of my prepaid reservation, so it took 30 minutes to solve that problem on a sold out Saturday evening. I will return to this Hotel.

I have been to Vegas several times and this was our best trip thus far. We had 9 people in our group and we had a great time at the pool (they could use a couple extra girls to take drink orders that service was a little slow but not any worse than other hotels I have been to). We really liked the rooms comfortable for the price very clean and well laid out. The thing that we really loved was the concierge took care of getting tickets for shows and took time to ask what we liked and made recomendations. We ignored his adivice on one show and he was right we didn't like it. We made the coment that it was pricey to take cabs from the hotel to the strip and he suggested car rental disscussed several different veh options ordered the rental, the hotel took care of all the paper work and when it cae time to return it dropped off the valet ticket with the cocierge and that was done. The concierge was great and help us with all sorts of non gambling activities and we have used a concierge before at other hotels never were they this useful.

My husband and I loved the peace and quiet of the location, yet when we wanted action it was just twenty minutes away. Also, Lake Mead and Hoover Dam are only thirty minutes away. It was the best of both worlds for us and we'd go back in a heartbeat. Also, shops and restaurants are a short walk away. We also loved hanging out at the pool area on the "beds" ... they're super relaxing and comfortable and since they are covered you get a break from the intense sun.

The hotel was terrific. I'm sure this won't get posted, but, I'm very dissappointed in Orbitz. They added extra fees and service charges when I checked out of the hotel. I'm sure they were listed on the site, but, I would have paid less by booking the trip by myself and calling Green Valley Ranch directly. I won't be using Orbitz in the future, very dissappointing.

We were looking for a place over Christmas that would take pets. We were surprised that such a nice place even took pets. The price for the rooms were etremely fair considering all the amenities. I would stay ther again.

We arrived at 10 pm on a Wednesday and the hotel had a high rate of occupancy. Were were given a room that had a view of a wall. Staff was very nice. We were there in mid November and the weather was unusually warm so the pool was awesome. The hot tub was very hot and it took a few discussions to get the temperature turned down. There were a few children there with parents who didn't seem to care that their children where playing in very hot water. The life guards were very young adults and seemed uninterested in their responsibilities but to be fair there just a handful of people at the pool at any given time. Hopefully, they are more attentive when there are lots of swimmers. Food is above average for breakfast; prices are ok!

This was a very nice hotel. The pool is amazing, and I had a great time. There are plenty of dining options to suit every ones needs. It's also great for people who like to gamble, there are tons of slot machines, and also many different tabels. There was even a movie theatre. The room were big, and the bath and separte shower is a great touch. The rooms were luxurious. Comfy beds. Overall I had a great time, and plan on going back and staying there again.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. We loved our room and the fancy bathroom. The restaurants were plentiful and included a nice variety, one was even open 24 hours. The down side was extremely limited shuttle services to the Las Vegas strip and the airport. Four set times per day, and there was only room for 14 people on each shuttle bus run. There was no guarantee you would get a seat on the ride back! Also, the public computer access in the lobby cost $.35 per minute. This is the first hotel I've ever stayed in that charged to use the public computer.

A great place that met all our needs and was fun. Rooms, Shopping, Movies, Pools, Food, it had everything.
