Most of Costa Rica is plagued by lack of good directions to off the beaten path places. This place is no different. That being said most of the buses can get you there and rental companies can get you pretty close. If driving, travel by day or be prepared for some dark roads and signs that are very hard to find. If you?re fortunate enough to find this hotel, you?re in for a treat. It?s family owned by people from the Netherlands and about 200 m from the Pacific ocean with almost untouched secluded beachfront. There is a dining room on the premises but you will have to travel 10 - 20 Km for anything that the hotel does not offer. It?s worth the frustration of getting here. Condos are being built between the ocean and this hotel blocking the ocean view. Get here soon to catch the view.

Carlos proved to be the host extraordinaire. The meals from the resturant were very good, rooms were modern, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel has all the basics such as internet, wireless connection (SSD), telephone, air conditioning, television, and accepts major credit cards. The staff, lead by Carlos are an excellent and eager resource for area attractions and went so far as to book activities, well beyond expectations. Excellent place to stay, Fantastic staff. I highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Play Bejuco for families, romantic get aways, young adventurors, and anyone who enjoys the ocean and excellent accomidations.

Nice room with upstairs loft offering additonal room. Would be perfect for family with children. No internet access unless you asked to borrow managers computer. No gym. Hotel lost water when a water main broke. Not the hotels fault but an inconvience. Hotel lost tv reception when a line went down. Again not the hotels fault, but unable to relax at night with tv on. No closets in room but built ins served the purpose. Bathroom good size. Close to beach, but not a swimming beach. Good for surfers and sun worshipers. Nice and pleasant dining room and staff was very pleasant. Not all spoke english but the manager and assistant spoke enough to communicate.
