The hotel was clean, bright and very comfortable. We booked the hotel at £49 B&B and thought it was excellent value for money. The staff are welcoming & friendly. There was a wedding at the hotel on the Saturday evening which meant we couldn't use the bar or restaurant, but the hotel had warned us about this the day before our arrival. The breakfasts excellent.

Hotel really good, but if you want to eat out and not in the hotel, you are in the wrong town. There are no pubs or restaurants in Telford.

Great HotelBeautiful Hotel, nice surroundings and close to shopping centre and motorway. Staff very helpful, in particular reception and bar staff. Other staff friendly. Breakfast was excellent, Room was very clean. Plenty to do in and around hotel. Good to hear mainly local accents! My only "complaint" was that the room smelt of cigarette smoke.

ExcellentVery friendly staff, Ann who served the curry, Henry the chef and Liz the manager were all extremely helpful and pleasant, I would recommend this hotel very strongfully. We stayed for 4 nights and it was excellent. Bar prices not bad but food prices very reasonable and the food vey good. Overal excellent value for money with excellent staff. PS good gym and swimming pool.

Value for moneyThe room was comfortable but as the day was very warm, the room did get quite hot, although they did provide a small noisy fan. Bed very comfortable and the room was very quiet.

Exactly as previous reviewers' stated - excellent value all round - breakfast good (fairly run of the mill) but well presented & food quality perfectly OK - managed to handle a large wedding party during our 2 night sya without too much problem. Hotel is walking distance to Telford Town Centre albeit via a pedestrian unfriendly route but very convenient. Used the Cafe Italia (which you'll see advertised at a sister hotel - the International Centre) - OK if you want something to eat late on / have a car & don't mind eating in the middle of a retail park.Al in all - especially at the weekend rate - great value for money without being excepetional in any other way.

very impressed with service. the hotel rang us at home on the morning of our departure for the hotel to inform us of closure of the restaurant due to a private function and to inform us of alternatives. requests during our stay were dealt with very promptly and pleasantl.y even though they were busy. breakfast first class service, very friendly and excellent choice of dishes, my husband would return for the black pudding alone. thank you.

Decent Hotel but busySeemed like a nice hotel but the restauraunt was busy for a wedding reception on the night that we stayed and we were only informed via voicemail to our house on the day of staying. The room was tidy and quiet and the bathroom was clean so no real complaints!

Andrew and Alison Salmons' review of our stay at The Grays Hotel TelfordMy wife and I booked into The Grays Hotel for a weekend break to visit Ironbridge Gorge, Coalbrookdale and the RAF Cosford Airshow. The service we received was excellent and all of the staff are so friendly and helpful. A few days before our arrival we received a courtesy call informing us that there was a wedding on the Saturday and that the main restaurant wouldn't be available but we could dine in one of the conference rooms, this is an example of the excellent customer care that we received from the staff during our stay. The hotel itself is immaculate with superb facilities such as gym, swimming pool, tennis court and 5 a side football pitch! The hotel sits in its own lawns with a very pleasant flower garden at the rear complete with pergola and pond overlooked by a balcony with access to the superb bar area, ideal for a relaxing evening drink. The hotel even has resident ducks wandering around the grounds! Me and my wife have stayed in many hotels over the years and this rates among the very best, we WILL be returning. A big thank you to all the staff for an excellent stay.

Wedding Anniversary BreakCould not fault accomodation, and location to town Centre superb, but we went for our Wedding anniversary Saturday 13th , unfortunately, there was a wedding on Saturday and restaurant and bar were not open to us. The receptionist was very apologetic and told me that she had emailed me the day before our arrival , but I had not seen this and my argument is they must have known prior to our booking that a wedding was prebooked. Where as Late rooms service was superb the hotel could have done better. They did offer us restaurant facilities which would be served in a conference room which was very small (6 tables max) and no frills at all and no bar facilites, this we declined and went out to a local restaurant ourselves.
