We stayed at Graspo de Ua for three nights in July 2008. The rooms are small and the hotel is very small. There is no view from the windows. The breakfast room feels like an underground bunker. All of that is tolerable, but what makes us recommend that you avoid this hotel is the staff. The staff is quite unhelpful in general. The worst thing is that Gianni, the manager, is rude, arrogant, and ill-mannered; and you should watch out for your money when you make deals with him. For example, we asked him to book a taxi to the airport and he quoted us a "minimum" price that turned out to be 40% higher than what we got when we went to the Canal Grande and booked the taxi ourselves! He then tried to refuse to cancel the taxi reservation that he had made at a 40% higher cost! Similarly, he booked a tour of Venice for us at a cost higher than what we would have found ourselves at the office in Piazza San Marco. And he did not accept credit cards, only cash! Clearly, he is connected with a newtork of people in Venice who rely on him to get money from tourists. So, if you are concerned about not being ripped off, do not stay at Graspo de Ua!

The hotel was ideally situated, just a few steps from the Rialto Bridge. Hotel staff were very helpfuly and friendly. The only down side was that the standard double rooms were extremely small.

Location is great, very close to the Rialto Bridge and a short walking distance to St. Mark's Square. Our room had recently been done up and was very clean with a great shower.

We really enjoyed this little hotel located down a narrow alley behind th Rialto Bridge - a minute from the vaporetto stop. Our superior room was small but had a newly fitted bathroom with bath. Management was very friendly, breakfast was fine - we would definitely use this hotel again.

Good value for the money. Great location right by the Rialto bridge. Friendly service. Rooms are quiet and they have air conditioning - an absolute must if you're planning to be in Europe during the summer months. Bathroom is clean and big. Beds are comfortable.

Great location-right by Rialto Bridge. Room extremely snug, but the convenient location made up for that. We had standard double room but there are larger rooms. Reception staff very helpful and speak good English. Stairs a bit narrow, but that a given in this part of Venice.

Very welcoming staff, breakfast fine and room service excellent. Location near Rialto bridge very good, not the most appealing side street entrance. The stairs though are a killer and would definitely request a lower floor room if going again, at our age the top floor was not good, put it down to the luck of the draw. The price of the superior rooms were a bit heavy against other places we've stayed at in venice, very clean but small, bathroom well equiped.
