Clean, comfortable and affordable in an excellent location. What else needs to be said? I'm booking my next visit at the moment, in fact.

Great location in Chinatown, close to AGO, University of Toronto. Nothing, really. The Grange Hotel is clean, safe and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom facilities more than adequate. Every hotel employee was friendly and helpful.

Located in Chinatown, we were surprised to see how incredibly close to everything we were. Location and value are the two best things about the Grange. The room is a small efficiency with appliances and plenty of storage. Comprable to a dorm room but cleaner, quieter & with housekeeping. If you're looking for a pool or poshness this isn't it but then why would you want to be cooped up in such a great city? Toronto is about neighborhoods and the location is only a couple of blocks from the very busy Queen st. and plenty of public transportation. Kensington market, Little Italy & Portugal are also in walking distance. A solid choice if you're on a budget, a student or planning on being out & about all the day. We'll certainly be back.

Great location. Fire alarm went on, but no outcome. It was perfect for the needs that we had.

The location had convenient communications. Room was clean and had a small kitchen, but not supplied hair dryer, you had to borrow it from the desk. Bathroom was clean but sink was a little obstructed. Shower hung on the wall couldn't be moved.Staying at there is a nice choice. Price was not so high and everything it provided was just enough for me.

I liked the fact that the hotel was in a good location. It was more like an efficiency apartment and there was no space. This hotel was good for a travel that doesn't care where they stay, the rooms were very small but they were clean and safe.

We normally would have stayed at the Westin Harbourfront or the Sheraton but everything was booked. We were desperate. The hotel staff were very friendly. We asked to see the room before check-in. It was clean and bright, looked recently painted. Not luxurious but clean. Windows opened which was nice. The bathroom was very basic but also clean. The neighborhood looked a bit rough but it was only a few blocks from Queen Street. I felt safe during the day walking around. At night was scary so we took a cab from the hotel door to the theatre.

The location in respect to the attractions we wanted to visit (downtown). The neigborhood, AC performance, general environment.

I wonder how did this hotel ever get 2 stars. The hotel, if we can even call it one is dirty. Lets start with the bathrooms: hair on the floor, hair in and around the toilet, sink and bathtub. Bathtub had soapscum all over. The walls were dirty. The rooms: dirty carpets, dirty walls, non functioning air-conditioning, dirty closets. If you absolutely need to spenda night in Toronto and you can't finda room....I'd suggest sleeping in your car or on a park bench.

It is close to downtown Toronto, short walk. The good days of the hotel are passed long time ago.

I was very happy with this hotel. I felt safe. The people were very nice. It was private. The rooms have kitchens in them with little refrigerators, complimentary ice trays , microwaves, sinks with washing equipment, nice size bathrooms with showers and complimentry bath items, plenty of fresh white towels, very neat, tv, phones, self controlled air unit, and window, onsite parking, convienient downtown location... and best of all the price is right!!!
