Suprisingly good stayFirst impression as you look up the street is what have I booked ! but step inside to a very pleasent reception, on the whole an interesting Hotel full of antiques and qurious pieces.The room I had was small but clean the double bed was hard but comfortable and the ensuite shower/toilet was quite new. The room faced the street but was generaly quiet and if you close the window you will hear nothing. The breakfast room is quite grand and opens out to a very pleasent garden were you can also take breakfast, there is a good choice of breakfast even bacon and eggs, I would certainly stay here again.

Very central to walking around Porto. Lovely breakfast. Only luke warm water if you plan to shower at night. Morning shower much better.

CharmingLovely old hotel. Beautiful dining room where a plentiful and varied breakfast is served including hot and cold food - more eggs were quickly provided when requested. Our room had new double glazing and refurbished bathroom - good, powerful over-bath shower. Beds and pillows a little harder than we would have liked but bed linen was of good quality. Staff were polite and friendly. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Small and a bit worn out rooms, but very clean. Great breakfast restaurant and a lovely quiet garden in the middle of the old town. It is not recommended to drive a car to the hotel, as it is almost impossible due to lack of parking places and a maze of one way streets.

Full of character, with quirky antiques all over the hotel. Room they gave us was quite small, but nice and had a little balcony. Location great, right in the middle of the city down a charming little street. Lovely breakfast in a grand breakfast room with a garden.

Good old-fashioned hotel in the center of Porto. You can have breakfast in the garden. The computer in the lobby is also very old.

The staff werent particually friendly, we wanted to pay for our room on arrival but was asked if we could wait to the next day as the receptionist would be clocking off in 6 mins ( not a problem) we had a early flight ( we were leaving at 6.45am)the next morning but could not get breakfast as it would not be open before 7,and was told that no coffee/tea would be available to us before we left and there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. In its favour the room was basic but clean and the hotel is very beutifull. The top points for this hotel go to its location.

Good value hotel,good choice for breakfast, no problems during our stay. Central location 5 minutes walk to shops, train and metro station, 15 minutes to the river.
