OK, there are good things and bad things about this place. The water park is under renovation so let's give the benefit of the doubt there. I am sure it will be nice when it is done. But here is what really pisses me off about this place. I stayed there 12 days during the Kansas State Fair. I visited the on-site bar, Grand Slam. The first Sat. I was there was a bartender April. Wow, what a great worker – I had a great time that night. Despite being busy, April took great care of me. The second Sat. however was disgusting to say the least. The two male bartenders that night would only wait on you if you had a set of boobs. One of them was more infatuated with how he could pop a beer top and catch it, rather than service customers. The only female was a complete you-know-what, and served me a drink without minus the vodka, when I asked why, she wrote me a note that said "over credit limit" Wow. I had $1150 authorized on my card at check in, with about $200 in incidentals during the 12 days I stayed there. Don’t get that. I had plenty of cash on me, and if there was a problem, how about saying “sir could you please pay cash” Instead I get a bogus drink. GO STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE! I travel 45 weeks a year and my experience at that place is the worst ever when it comes to service. I waited 25 minutes to get a drink, and then got a note thrown at me, not even an explanation what was up. Don't bother with the place.

I felt the 9AM cutoff for the free continental breafast of Sunday Morning was a bit early.

We played in the MAYB kickoff classic and stayed in Hutchinson. It was a nice trip, enjoyed relaxing at the pool and in the hot tube between games. The kids in the hallways could have settled down earlier than 1:00 a.m., but other than that, it was a nice stay.

The kids were disappointed that the water slides and lazy river were not running, but we did know this ahead of time. When we arrived we found out that the hot tub was closed also. The kids pool and the adult pool had a number of activities for families to do together. The room was nice and clean. The older lady who was in charge of the continnental breakfast was not friendly at all, but everyone else was.

We chose this hotel just because of the water park. Half of it was closed due to contruction, I didn't see any construction going on other that just being drained and closed. If I had known that this was the case, we would have went to Wichita to the airport Best Western that has a pool and putt-putt golf. My children were disappointed and I had to be creative to save the weekend from total ruin. Good thing we visited the Cosmosphere and enjoyed at least that. Not pleased at all with the pool area, very run down. There was also a storm that rolled in and we had to leave the pool area after only short time in the area that was open.

Room was okay, a bit aged...but the reason we stayed there was the waterpark. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the jacuzzi was closed (it did open later)...but the slides were closed. Probably wouldn't have stayed there had I known.

I saw many families having a great time around the water. Unfortunately, I ended up there on other business. The renovation is pretty sketchy. The bathroom was Home Depot cheap and scaled for small folks. My room was quiet--even with all the children running through the halls. The staff was fine.

Great water park inside the hotel. Very cool museum full of space artifacts.

We stayed for three nights, and interacted with no less than four staff members at the front desk. All were extremely friendly and helpful. The highlight of the hotel is their water park. For the rate listed (only a few dollars more than budget hotels), I didn't have high hopes for the water park. Boy was I wrong! They had two fairly large slides (probably about 150' each) one that you needed a tube for, and one that was a body slide. The staff was good, keeping things safe ... anyone using common sense could just have fun without being scolded. They had a shallow kiddie pool with lots of spraying water, a 3-4' pool for basketball and playing, another pool with a rope net overhead for hanging on and floating lilly-pads to try to balance on. Also had a hot tub (very hot!) with a waterfall. The rooms were in average condition (caulking etc. looked a little tired), but the beds were comfortable (if firm) and pillows were fine. The restaurant was a bar and grill; didn't have crayons or anything for the kids. The food was good for bar-grub. Overall, a great option if you want to have some water-fun on your trip.

The indoor waterpark was great, if a little noisey. There was too little counter space in the restroom.

The only thing I was truly frustrated with is both times I stayed, I had an issue with hours. We arrived at 8:50pm with two chilren very anxious to swim, only to find out the Indoor Water Park closed at 9:00pm for the children. The second time we stayed we were told we had a 11;00 check out and an extra hour would cost $45.00 or more. I feel the hotel should be more accomodating. Location was great!
