What are your breakfast options?: There are no restaurants attached to Grand Mercure Docklands but there are about 25 restaurants by the waterfront. Some of the restaurants offer breakfast and they open from 8:00am. Costing for breakfast will vary as they all offer a la carte menus.
What transport is available to get around?: There is a tram stop about 200 meters from the reception, where the free city circle tram (#35) will take you in to the city and operates during the weekdays and weekends, and there are also tram #70 and #86, where you will need to pay. Best mode of transport to get to any major locations such as the beach, city and markets are by tram and train. As for the airport, you will need to either get at taxi and a standard taxi will cost about $45 - $50 or there is the Skybus shuttle service. You can get the sky bus from the airport and at reception where we can organize a transfer back.
What can I do nearby?: There are many attractions and entertainment in the docklands area. There is Harbour Town Shopping Centre, Icehouse (skating rink), Wonderland Fun Park along with our many restaurants by the waterfront and a lounge bar as well. In close vicinity is also Etihad Stadium and a tram stop that will take you straight into the city of Melbourne with numerous retail stores and tourist attractions.
Do you have internet?: There is a pocket Wi-Fi device that can be hired out for $15 per day. It is subject to availability upon check in. There is also free Wi-Fi at the reception and computers from 6:00am – 11:00pm.
Do you provide parking?: We provide parking at Grand Mercure Docklands at $15 per night and there is also public parking. We provide undercover secure parking and you have access to your car 24/7.
