Beginning April 12, 2010 and ending in early 2011, the Grand Hyatt will undergo an extensive room renovation. The comprehensive room renovation will replace wall coverings, flooring, curtains, furniture, and dcor. All bathrooms will be completely renovated. The multi-million dollar project will occur in phases, closing entire building wings at a
time to mitigate any disturbance for guests. With the main two buildings completed in 2010, all guests will be in fresh, new rooms in 2011.

Beginning July 1, 2011, a new Hawaii State Law requires that a $10 tax is now levied on any free hotel nights. If you booked a Sunshine on Sale or any other package offering a free night promotion, the hotel will collect the $10 tax on check out.
