We received first rate service, upgrade for room, concierge floor privledges and champagne and strawberries for our anniversary. The consierge desk was extremely helpful, gracious and accomodating. We had a wonderful experience and will stay at other Hyatts in the future.

Extremely helpful staff, concierge very knowledgeable, nothing wa too much trouble. Great location on the edge of Union Square. Restaurant facilities are limited, but plenty of coffee shops, diners, bars etc in the vicinity.

Overall the stay was good. When I booked the room I paid extra for a room with a bay view. To my surprise when I got to my room and looked out the widows, all I could see were other office buildings and other skyscrapers. The room itself was a larger corner unit, very clean and even had an alarm clock with a iPod dock and mp3 audio input, so that was nice feature. After going downstairs to the check-in desk to see about getting a room with an actual bay view, I was told that there were only a few rooms with a view of the bay and I was out of luck, no offer of reducing my room rate or any of that was offered. I was disappointed in that fact. But overall my experience there was good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as long as they didn't care about a "room with a view"

We usually book in advance for better pricing, however, didn't on this trip as we decided at the last minute to get out of town. Luckily, we found the Grand Hyatt, and couldn't be more pleased. The staff was phenominal, even recommending cheaper parking 1/2 block away. Our room was on the 31st floor with a view of coit tower and alcatraz. The king-size bed was perfect and the room was immaculate. The next time we decide to get out of town for the weekend, the Grand Hyatt at Union Square will be our first choice.

I liked the view from the room, we were on the 17th floor and had an amazing view of downtown. The parking was 55 dollars a day. I would not stay in this hotel again. Parking was 55 dollars a day, Internet was 13 dollars a day. With a 4 star hotel you would expect these things to be included like they are in a 3 star hotel. The staff was also very hit or miss. Some were nice, helpful, and some were very rude. But over all I was disappointed.

First visit to san franciisco. found location of hotel and services to be outsrtanding.. The Concierge's were particularly noteworthy - always going beyond the normal to be of assistance. Thanks to Grand Hyatt personnel for making this a great vacation.

Hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our trip was in celebration of a wedding anniversary and the hotel sent us a chilled bottle of champagne. The best thing about the hotel would be the location. Surounded by shopping, eateries, galleries and public transport outside our door. We enjoyed a wide variety of food and had a great time walking, sight seeing and enjoying the atmosphere.

Conveniently located by Union Square. $50 parking. Great place to stay for shopping in Union Square. Avoid bringing a car if at all possible.

I originally booked at the Hilton. It was so bad, I checked out instantly and called the Hyatt. They gave me a good rate and a much, mich better room in a much much better area than the Hilton. The Hyatt is in a convenient location and the rooms were nice. Had a great view of the square and a short cab ride to everywhere from there.

The Grand Hyatt staff were helpful and friendly. We are returned visitors to SF and try to stay at the Grand Hyatt whenever we can. The Grand Hyatt usually offers a better travel package (air and hotel) than some of the other hotels around Union Square which is why we also opt to stay there while in SF. If given the choice in the future, we could definitely select the Grand Hyatt Hotel to stay at when in SF.

The location is great. The room can use a little renovation. Great hotel with a great view of Union Square.

We thougt we could not go wrong with the Grand Hyatt. Boy we were so wrong. We were given a room whose walls are so thin that we could hear every piece of conversation that was coming from the next room. We asked the front desk for a room move and the guest service agent told us nothing is available and to check back the next day. They made no attempt to assist us. The next day, I attempt to room move again but the guest service agent was again reluctant to assist us. She only room move us after I threaten to check out. There's mildew in the bathrooms for both rooms, cracked caulking and the lights don't work. On my last night, I was trying to retrieve my package from the Front desk. The guest service agent told me that he doesn't know where it is becuase it is not part of his job and to wait for the bellman to assist me. He would rather I wait 10 mins while he is sipping his starbucks coffee and talking to his fellow colleagues rather than making an effort to look for my package.

From the iPod charging clock radio to the immaculate 24 hour fitness center and high-tech INTERNET enabled meeting rooms, this was a wonderful lodging experience. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows, the shower was high enough for me to stand under (I'm 6'2") and I could see the Transamerica building from my window. Located in the center of the financial and shopping district and steps from China town the location can't be beat. Hotel staff was efficient and friendly and the food was delicious. Great burgers and fries. The best part is it is only a short $5.35 BART ride from SFO.

I booked reservations to this hotel because I was attending a birthday pre-party for a friend mine. The pre-party gathering was actually at one of the suites at the Grand Hyatt. The pre-party has been at one of the suites at the Grand for the past 4 years. The service and staff has always been friendly and helpful. The room and suite are always clean and presentable. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
