Great location, beautiful "classic" hotel, nice rooms. Tiny elevators - not a problem. In this case, the even the "worst" turned out to be a great room!

Grand Hotel de la Minerva is a old hotel, so it might suit people looking for a feeling of the 'old' continent, but is far from the present standards of modern deluxe hotel. Service, cleanliness etc are to 4* level (except the breakfast, which is poor in choice & quality). Location is perfect as most places are within walking distance.

Nice clean comfortable rooms. The concierge was unable to secure delivery of my delayed luggage. Pleasant, clean, and comfortable hotel. Concierge attempted to secure my delayed luggage, but was ineffectual during my 2 1/2 day stay as a 5 star hotel one would think they would know how to work with the airlines to make sure their guests were completely satisfied. Although all the positives are fair in content, the Grand Hotel De La Minerva Roma was a disappointment.

undoubtedly a quality hotel although very expensive. excellent food in the lovely rooftop restaurant. very friendly and attentive staff. however I felt that my room (a superior double) was small for over £200 a night.

Great location, friendly staff. Pricey. Unbeatable location, just steps from the pantheon. Friendly staff and very helpful concierge. You certainly pay for all these services.

Great location to see historical Rome. Not very friendly. Smelly elevator. Low quality linens. Wonderfully located hotel to visit central, historic Rome. Don't expect much help from concierge desk. Not a very friendly hotel, although the doorman was always courteous. Our room had a large bath which was very nice, but I'm not certain if this is typical of a standard double. Linens are not good quality and feel more like sand paper than cotton. Not quite a 5 star hotel, more like a European 4 star with a great location.

The location is superb! The mattress was the waterproof plastic kind you use in baby cribs. The staff is courteous, but not charming. The room is small, but sufficient. The stains in the carpet and on the fabric of the headboard could be overlooked, especially after long days of sightseeing in the Eternal City. This hotel is all about the location.

Great location. Power shortages and staff not so friendly. The location was great. The staff not so friendly, the room was very clean. Not sure I would rate it as a 5 star.

The room was absolutely enormous and immaculate. The concierge wasn't always so helpful. This is a four and a half star hotel. It isn't the Ritz, but it is certainly heads and shoulders above the average European hotel. Our room was spotless. The hotel was lovely. The room was absolutely enormous with high ceilings, a seating area etc. This is the sort of place that actually gives you clean towels every day (an exception in Europe), has robes on the back of the door, turn down service and chocolates on your pillow. The fact that it needs to be updated a bit in its public spaces and the fact that its bathrooms, while fine and clean, aren't luxury, keeps it from being a true five star. But, if you're looking for something nicer than the average hotel with an unbeatable location this is the place. Pay less than someplace like a sofitel, but more than a Hilton.

Location. Poor service, rude staff. I will not stay at this hotel again. Poor service upon check in and prior to arrival. I witnessed other customers encountering the same thing. General consensus was that people would not be returning.

The hotel was extremely convenient in terms of location. The beds were uncomfortable and the hotel was extremely expensive. The hotel is great on a business expense budget. On a regular vacation budget, it's not very economical. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. In fact, ours tilted towards one side and I had a terrible backache after the stay. However, the location is extremely convenient, right next to the Pantheon.
