The Grand Case Beach Club provided a great experience for us. Their staff was very friendly and helpful. They were more than willing to set-up activities during our stay, as well as give us tips on places to go and things to see. The rooms are very clean and kept that way by diligent and daily house cleaning. We enjoyed a week of snorkeling, boating, beach hopping, scuba diving, zip-lining, and great food! I can see why St Martin is known for being the friendly island and the culinary island of the Caribbean.

This was our 7th visit to St. Martin and without a doubt the nicest place we have stayed on every count! Access to Grand Case was wonderful but we equally enjoyed the Sunset Pier with their excellent dinners and vistas..service was very friendly and helpful. And the view from our lenai of the water was breathtaking....Thank you!! We will be back!!

It was a great quiet place/area with a mix of owners and vacationeers (mostly 30+ year olds, some families). We didn't want the loudness or tacky tourism of Simpson Bay or crowds of Marigot and Phillipsburg since we're not shoppers. Great having 20+ restaurants a 10-minute walk away (Spiga and the BBQ lolos were fantastic). Yes, roads are narrow and there are no sidewalks, but it's perfectly safe if you pay attention and just walk single file when necessary; not a big deal. The Tues night street festival shouldn't be missed.

We had a fantastic time at the Grand Case Beach Club for our honeymoon. It was comfortable, casual and relaxing. The little extra we paid for an ocean front room was worth it. The Sunset Cafe was a bit more pricey than anticipated, but had excellent food. Enjoying half-price drinks while watching the sunset at happy hour there is a must during your stay. Be sure to sign up for a snorkeling excursion to Croele Rock too. We have no complaints about our stay and are already thinking about when we can return.

The hotel overall was very nice. A very simple place, but well kept. It was just what we were looking for on this vacation. The only drawback was upon our arrival the informed us that they had over booked and didn't have the studio room we purchased available for us... They upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite for the 1st night and moved us over to our standard studio the next day (no big hassel). Most of the staff were pleasent, all were helpful. We enjoyed our stay at this resort, and although a beautiful place, we still like a few islands we visited prior better than st. maarten. Also, this is a very family oriented place, there are a lot of children running around. Despite this, it was still pretty quiet and definitly peaceful.... Next time we will pursue an adults only resort for the added peace and quiet only a resort of that type can deliver. PS- The property has two beaches, both are very nice...

Grand Case Beach Club is a quiet, clean, beautiful resort. Everyone there is very friendly and the pace is very relaxing. The atmosphere is welcoming to children and adults alike. The resort restaurant was good, but expensive. The free continental breakfast is wonderful. Since the resort is on the french side of the island, you get excellent french breads and butter to eat every morning, along with coffee and orange juice. We stayed in a waterfront unit which was beautiful. The island is gorgeous and there is lots to see. This resort is in a quieter, less touristy part of the island, but still has lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. We had a wonderful time.

This was our 2nd trip to Grand Case Beach club. Great place to stay. Rooms were great. Staff was great. Beach was great. We like the fact its small beach, no one bothering you to buy towels, as on Orient Beach. Car rental was easy when we wanted to head to Phillipsburg and Marigot. I love the closeness to town. Had another great meal at Spiga, Blue Marlin not so much. Lolo's as good and cheap as always. Not sure if we will return as we want to check out other islands but if we do we will stay again.

I never stay somewhere twice but we have already booked our thanksgiving family trip for next year (with additional family members) at the Grand Case Beach Club! The service was amazing, walking distance to the best restaurants on the whole island. The beach was impeccable and very private and the guests were a great mix of folks from all over the states and Europe. The suites had a wonderful mini kitchen area too and you were greeted at the reception desk with complimentary wine!

Sunset Cafe is extraordinary! Food is excellent and the service, unbeatable! We rented a car and got lost to reach the hotel, however, this was due to the construction of the runabouts after Simpson Bay. Once you pass them it was very easy to get there. We were celebrating our 39th anniversary and our stay was what we were looking. Next year, we will be there again.

This resort is so much nicer than almost all of the resorts in St. Martin, the beach is amazing, it's very safe, the people there are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are very nice (we had a garden studio and it was right by the ocean and was very spacey). This hotel always gets a lower rating for its value and i think it is because the cafe that is there overcharges for everything- i thought the hotel itself was worth every penny. However if you are looking to snorkel, don't come here, in fact don't even come to st.martin, there is nothing to see, the water is sparkling clear and the sand is white but there is no fish and no coral anywhere. If you want a relaxing vacation on the beach- this is your place

I've stayed in Grand Case before and I thought it was the best place in the Caribbean. Things have changed. Our room was in desperate need of some TLC. No one uses the pool. There was garbage in the water in front of our room. We went on an excursion to a small island -Prickly Pear ($$). The snorkleing was terrible. Everything is covered with sand and debris so not much lives there. The town of Grand Case is a disaster. The road is basically unpaved. Cars park on both sides of the narrow road. There is no sidewalk and the locals drive fast though the whole mess. We were nearly hit several times. I would have rather stayed in Orient bay or the Dutch side.

If you are looking for a large hotel with many amenities and a spectacular pool this is not the place for you. This is a great little place for a quiet and restful vacation. The staff is great and the rooms are clean. For me the most important thing is the beach, and this hotel has a phenomenal location with two unique beaches. It was the off season... so it was not tough to find a spot on one of the beaches. The restaurant was closed for dinner due to renovations (shame- because my last time here i had some great seafood there) and it will not be fully open for a while. it is grand case, so there are plenty of restaurants close by.All in all, great hotel if you are not the high maintenance type. I love it when I feel at home in a hotel and this place feels like home to me.

The hotel was great, in my opinion it was the best on the French side of the island. The staff is very accomodating and welcoming. There are free non-motorized watersports on site for hotel guests, which is great. Every Monday evening there is a manager's cocktail party where we met and talked with the manager. Everything was great! Off of the boulevard, Grand Case is a bit slummish. Make sure you bring your own alarm clock. The bedding is relatively hard. I would definitely go back though, overall it is a great place to stay.

It's been just over a week since I left Grand Case Beach Club and I've missed it every day! My husband and I spent a week there for our honeymoon, and it was fantastic. I had chosen the location strictly from online reviews and I was thrilled to find the beach club even better than described. Like other reviewers have said, if you're looking for nightlife this isn't the place to go - but if you're looking for beautiful surroundings, peace, relaxation, and great food, make your reservation now! Speaking of staff, I can't say enough about their helpfulness and friendliness. We had a wonderful time just chatting with everyone - the island certainly lives up to its nickname, "The Friendly Island". If you've never been to an area like St. Martin (we hadn't), you might be a little wary on the drive from the airport. Some of the areas you'll go through are a bit rundown, and chances are good that you'll need to slow down to let a cow or some goats cross the road! But DO NOT worry! The GCBC is exactly as pictures here and on their website show. It is located at the end of a small road, is gated, and has a very helpful and friendly security staff. We had a little trouble at first finding a good place to stock up the kitchen in our room - recommend the Cash 'n' Carry store on the main road near the Pharmacy - it has a much better selection than you might think from the outside. We rented a car which was nice for just driving around and exploring the island, and we made multiple trips to Orient Bay (only a 10 minute drive from the GCBC) to hang out on the beach. There are multiple restaurants/bars with chaises and umbrellas to rent, and most have beach service during the week (not on Saturdays for some reason). It was absolute heaven to camp out on a beach chair in front of Waikiki Beach or Bikini Beach and have someone bring us coladas all day!!! Tip on car rental - don't make the mistake we did of upgrading to a larger car, it just makes getting around harder. Driving on the

This was our first time here. The reviews that we read about the hotel and the town were dead on. October is the off season so it is never a problem getting a table at any of the great restaurants in town. All the restaurants are within a short walk. The food and service at the Sunset Cafe were great. If you want a quiet place to relax with great food and great views this is the place. We will difinitely be back. Don't be afraid to use the local bus system to go into Marigot or Phillipburg, it was cheap and easy to use. Of all the islands we have visited St Martin is our favorite, especially the French side. The Dutch side is busier and more crowded. Make sure to check with the front desk on what days the cruise ships come in. Most of the ships carry at least two thousand passenger each, which could make your shopping experience somewhat stressfull.

Our stay at Grand Case was wonderful. The beach was beautiful and all of the staff was very helpful. The room was very clean and the air conditioner worked great! The refrigerator and microwave was great as we often had leftovers from the restaurants to reheat. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Spring for the ocean view, it is worth it. Unfortunately, September is the off season for the island so many things were closed. The Sunset Cafe (hotel restaurant), which we had heard wonderful things about was under construction and only open for breakfast and lunch with a limited menu. The hotel was also renovating some rooms, so we heard frequent jack hammering starting around 9 am. Many of the restaurants in Grand Case were closed as well. Also, some of the island activities were not running due to low numbers. Overall, we had a wonderful time. We just wished we had realized the true meaning of off season before we got there. If you are planning on travelling in September, just do your research to make sure everything you want will be available.

The best location on the Island. Walk to the beach. Walk to town with fantastic restaurants and decent shopping. Ten minutes to Orient Beach. 20 minutes to casinos. It's not a full service resort. There's a great beach, bar and restaurant and a water sports desk but not a place to jet ski or windsurf. That's a quick walk away.

This was the best vacation ever. So much to do just outside your door. Jet skis, snorkeling, swimming, fine dining. And the view is fantastic. I felt like I was in a tiny French fishing village. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We did some grocery shopping at the local US Imports store on the first day. Had wine and cheese and fruit every day for lunch. This is a very relaxing place. Casual dress. Sat on the balcony overlooking the cove watching the sailboats bobbing in the water, feeding the "sugar birds" a plate of sugar. I can't say enough about the Sunset Cafe staff, Chantel, Sabrina and Sandra feel like family. And the gorgeous Leron who took us out snorkeling is definitely an asset to the Beach Club. Grand Case Beach Club has a good reputation on the island. When sales staff asked us where we were staying they responded with "Best place on the Island" and I would have to agree. We met many guests who come back year after year, and I think we will be joining them.

The Grand Case Beach Club was every bit as beautiful and restful as we had read in the reviews, both here and at other review sites online. Our room was a 1-bedroom beachfront, where we literally stepped outside of our room(s) and were mere feet from the beach. The view was gorgeous, surrounded by small mountains on one side and the Caribbean on the other, directly across from Anguilla. The rooms clean and updated, and we are still trying to figure out who the manufacturer of the bed was, as we haven't slept as well since returning! Unexpectedly, we had two bathrooms, in addition to a complete kitchen, spacious bedroom, and very spacious living area with dining table. There was also a flat-screen TV with American Cable, but what are you doing inside watching TV with surroundings like this? There is a very helpful staff, and a fantastic restaurant on site (Sunset Cafe, run by the delightful Chantal). Even with the gourmet restaurants in the village, we ended up taking many of our afternoon and evening meals here, in addition to the delicious complimentary continental breakfast of coffee, juice, and a basket of fresh croissants & pain au chocolat each day. The hotel is located down the lane from the village of Grand Case, and is incredibly peaceful and quiet. That said, this is not the place for those looking for the casino scene or busy night life, but if you want nothing but the sound of lite rock in the cafe and the waves gently brushing the beautiful sand, plus incredible meals at gourmet restaurants a 5-10 minute stroll from the hotel (we did not rent a car, and never missed it!), you will find this the perfect getaway...stay as long as you can!
