Ik ben een week in dit hotel geweest. Wij konden gebruik maken van het ontbijt en het avondeten. Hierover was ik totaal niet tevreden. Bij het ontbijt hadden we elke morgen droog brood en veel te vet spek en gebakken ei. Na een dagje uit hadden wij s'avonds wel zin in warm eten. Nou het eten was er wel, maar warm was het totaal niet. Over de locatie ben ik ook niet geheel tevreden. Er staan wel foto's op internet maar het uitzicht dat je daarop ziet is anders. Wij hadden een kamer met uitzicht op een ander hotel. Geen pretje voor ons en ook niet voor de gasten van het andere hotel.

It was great, the best place ever. Really good, staff was fun and I will be going back for the New Year. Live music was fab. Don't know what was up with all the other reviews.

I have just returned from a really great break in Lloret de Mar. I was a little worried having read the reviews from other people about Gran Hotel Don Juan and started to regret choosing it because it had an amusing name... however I am happy to say I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. There were about 1000 grannys dancing and doing keep fit downstairs near reception, but I thought this provided the best entertainment we could have hoped for on holiday. :) The rooms were basic but very pleasant and clean, with a new bathroom suite and a lovely power shower! The hotel was in a good location, only a few minutes walk from the beach and bars/resturants. The hotel staff could have been more friendly however generally the customer service was fine. We only had breakfast because I think it's nicer to eat in different resturants on holiday; there was plenty of choice both hot and cold and it tasted quite good. Maybe I'm easily pleased as a student, but I think it's a good place to stay if you intend to use it as a base. I was slightly disappointed by the indoor swimming pool, but the outdoor pools were lovely. I would recommend the hotel, but not to anyone who wants a quiet or romantic hotel break, and it is not best suited to families either.
