Brilliant hotel. Settled in a beautiful gardened square close to Gran Vía, Plaza Espania, Plaza de Colon etc. Underground also close to move to anywhere. Fantastic place to stay and very nice and helpful staff. Do not forget to have breakfast there, delicious.

"I booked the Gran Hotel Conde Duque Madrid because the picture of the room looked very nice and they had a double bed. We got two very small single beds, about one foot off the floor, in a room that was about 10ft by 10ft. The floor even sloped. The view was of the roof of another building. The whole experience was very dissapointing. We paid a lot for this room and i would never stay here again."

A very pleasant stay on short notice in Madrid. Relatively close to most of the cities noted activities without being too noisy at night. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful with English being spoken by most. Parking was in the way of street parking though this seems the norm for this part of the world. Overall a good experience that was enjoyed by this Aussie.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. The room was big and spacious. As we had a car, the hotel was in a good location for parking. There was a garage but there is on the road parking outside the hotel also. We didn't have to drive into the centre and there was a metro stop quite near to hotel.

Enjoyed our stay. The staff was very accomodating. They were willing to book any restaurant and work through any language barriers. Most spoke English. Advice was given on tourist destinations. Close to Metro Train. Many stores nearby. I would recommend the Gran Hotel Conde Duque Madrid.

This is my first time on the Gran Hotel Conde Duque Madrid and i though that will be the last one for me, they don`t give you any another service like internet(that all **** hotel get it for free)etc, etc because them excuse was that you get a lower " great offer" price. it was a totally shame on them. Btw, Single room was so little,Hotel situation on Madrid is one of the best, people working there was kind with me, but i think another **** hotel will give you more for what are you paying. I will not go back to there again. if you find for a great **** hotel that gives you faccilities and regarding what are you paying, look for another one.

This was a nice hotel, the only problem was that there was a 10 euro breakfast included that doesn't appear anywhere on the website. It is not optional to have the breakfast or not. The other thing was that NOBODY told me at check-in about the breakfast so I couldn't even take advantage of it. When I brought it up when I checked out they said it was too bad and was a part of the deal. I thought this was very dishonest. Because of this I would be cautious about recommneding it to anyone.
