for the price it was marginal, would rather pay a few dollars more and get something better. location was fine, staff was normal, bed mattress needed updating, bathroom only partial roll of toilet paper no backup roll. room was clean

I was very happy with this hotel. At first it looked like the area was a bit dodgy but in fact it's well located and an easy walk to the trolley, even if the streets are not very pretty. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable

I made reservations through online travel website for my son in the marines to go back to San Diego from his first 10day leave after graduation.online travel website was great and very helpful they called the hotel before he landed to make sure they had a shuttle to pick him up from the airport as it would be very late when he got in. He has never been away from home (Arkansas, yes backwoods no taxi's where we are from.) so I called the hotel when he landed the foreign guy who answered was VERY Horrible and rude he said we don't have a free shuttle. I said I wasn't asking for anything free just to send a shuttle to pick him up, he's just a kid. The guy said how old is he and I said 19. Then the man said he's 19 and doesn't know how to get a taxi whats wrong with him. I asked him why he was being so rude and he hung up on me. I tried to call back to speak to a manager and someone again hung up on me. HOW DARE THAT FOREIGN MAN TREAT US THAT WAY WHEN MY SON IS GOING TO FIGHT FOR HIS RIGHT TO LIVE IN OUR COUNTRY.

Some rooms are renovated, others need to be renovated very soon. The isolation of the rooms can be better. The rooms are not fresh smelling; too much chemicals are used in cleaning the rooms.

I will never stay at this motel/hotel ever again... I don't stay at hotels regularly, but this was my worst hotel experience by far!! My husband, 6 yr old daughter and I were assigned to room #316. By the looks of the room, it "appeared" clean. But really, the beds were infested with bugs, possible bed bugs, huge ones at that, including itty bitty baby ones... It was disgusting. I couldn't stand 1 more minute in that room with my precious 6 yr old daughter. We were there for about 2 hours when we discovered the infestation of bugs on the beds. Immediately we packed our belongings, complained to the front desk and went searching for another hotel. And prayed to God we didn't run into the same or similar issues elsewhere. I was so disgusted, I was shaking of anger.

Good value for price, easily accessible and close to major attraction. Staff was very courteous.

We paid a very good price and it was in a pretty good location for what we needed but I wouldn't stay here again as it is an old place and I didn't like the feel of it at all. When people next to us were having a shower the pipes made very very loud noises and would wake you in the morning! The bathroom was tiny and dingy and although it was clean it just felt dirty because of how old this place is. It is right opposite Dennys and a nude place if that's your thing!

I have stayed at this hotel twice now in less than two years. Both times my room has been clean at check in and kept that way during my entire stay. The employees have also been courteous and helpful. The location of the hotel is very central to places to visit in the area. My last visit at the hotel was pretty quiet and uneventful. There is a Denny's and Jack in the Box right across the steet. My only complaint is the lack of parking in the lot at certain times. The daily rate is fair for what you get. You could pay more and get more amenities if you plan to spend that much time in a hotel room, but is that really what your go on vacation for?

Hotel was nice, clean and reasonable priced.Nice lady manager helped us with maps and directions and left some goodies in my room for my 2 year old son.Super location, would definitely stay again.

VERY basic hotel - clean room - poor area - nothing for kids (no pool, playground, too far from the beach/bay to walk) - morning coffee OK, room smelled moldy, had to have the cards rekeyed every night - they wouldn't hold the key - grungy is the overall word that comes to mind. Very convenient for Sea World. I would pay more next time for a "warmer/safer" feeling place.

Two comfortable queen beds, clean bathroom, tidy room, all at a VERY low price through a online travel website. Maybe better for those with a car than those walking to public transport at the Old Town transportation center (as I was), about a ten minute brisk walk from the property through some rather rundown areas. If you want to economize on a room and don't mind the surroundings, this is your place. Room had small desk/table, TV, fridge, luggage stand. Office staff was pleasant and helpful (offered to call a cab to get me to the airport when I left.) Combined walking and trolly time into downtown San Diego is about 25-30 minutes depending on wait time for trollys If you will be taking public transportation note that 4-day passes are economical, especially for those who qualify for discount (handicapped, 65 or over).

The staff was friendly but the surrounding area made us feel uneasy, not a good part of town but it was close to the highway and airport.

Basic motel facilites with noisy plumbing in an industrial area. Pricing is good for short stay and access to major roads.

I booked this motel with my flight from Michigan to get the money saving deal of about $** per night for the room. I could see the rooms on the website and it didn't look offensive at all. I even called the motel to ask the normal rate to confirm I'd be saving well over half and they told me it was a 4 block walk to the Trolley transportation. My sister and I were meeting in San Diego as tourists. The large room had 2 Queen beds, TV, small fridge, nice clean bathroom, and we were impressed with everything but the carpet! It was worn and badly stained but it didn't matter to us. I had asked if there were hairdryers before leaving so I wouldn't have to pack one and was told yes there were. There were no hairdryers. You had to borrow one from the front desk. There was no coffee in the room, only in the lobby. Across the street was a Denny's restaurant and several fast food places. When we first arrived it was night and difficult to find in an area of topless clubs. That made us wonder, but in the morning we could see the area was safe and walkable. We were booked 8 nights and the motel seemed full always. Great value and I would recommend it. The front desk workers were very helpful. Just wish they told me there was an elevator because I was on the 3rd floor and someone else explained where to find that! The Good Nite Inn could be called The Good Value Inn.

The hotel was great, the room was clean and close to every place my grand-daughter and I wanted to see. I asked for a ground floor room and was accomodated without any problems. It was a little bit hard to find at first but on the second round we found it.

In our first room (we eventually moved to another), the shower didn't drain and the hotel didn't have a snake to clear it. About a 6 inch chunk of the bathroom doorway was ripped away. There was no kleenex because it was July 4th holiday, I was told. The rugs were stained in several areas. On the TV, the sound level could not be changed. It did have underground parking, but one parked car had a smashed window with glass all over the next parking space. The walkway to the rooms was stained with old pieces of gum, looking more like a city sidewalk. I have stayed in basic motels, but they were clean and things worked-- unlike this place. I would never return.

Once we arrived at the hotel, housekeeping just finished cleaning the rooms. The room that was asigned to us was room 316. Their was duct tape on the window holding the broken pieces togther. The room door was already open. we step in and noticed that thier was hair all over the place (tub, bathroom floor and on the bed). Then we noticed that someone had used the bathroom and didn't flush the toliet. What made it so bad, that room was justed cleaned. I called downstairs and they did give me another room, this room's lock was broken. We felted very usafe. The only thing that was O.K. was the young lady at the desk that kept saying sorry. I took pictures of the rooms so that I could send to the company.

We got this hotel because of price and how close you were to Sea World but, we didn't expect the TV not to work and the air conditioner to (literally) be taped together and not be able to cool off the room on high. I can honestly say that we will never stay at a goodnite inn again. We stayed in 321 and checked in on July 2 you may want to make sure those things are fixed so that you don't make a bad impression on a 1st time customer again!!!
