The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the people on the housekeeping staff helped me park my car in their unbelievably tiny parking area, and seemed genuinely surprised when I gave him a tip. However, before we found the parking area, we had to park two blocks South of the hotel where we came across some scary, disgruntled strung out people. there were less going in the opposite direction. I grew up near S.F. and have been there hundreds of times, so I feel that I am a fair judge of the city. But we would definitely stay there again- small room but very clean, and the bed was amazingly comfortable.

I LOVE this hotel. This place is so cute. It was very European/Ikea. The staff was so amazing and helpful. The room service was yummy. I will stay here again. I've never been to a hotel like this.

We LOVED this hotel. The staff was so nice and the room was nice and clean. It was really close to Market Street and right by a BART stop. The pizza place that is in the hotel and the hamburger place across the street are both amazing! I will stay here everytime I go to San Fransico.

Very very small clean room.Staff excellent. Was told it was safe to walk at nite,homeless people would only ask for , but there were so many homeless,scary people everywhere. A conveneince store told us we were crazy to be walking in the area at nite. Would not stay in area again

Affordable, but the clerk at the front was slow. Before even entering the room we ran into a man who was bringing his pillow back to the front desk because it had bed bugson it. When we got to our room, we found the same underneath our pillows. No one in our group will return to this hotel.

This hotel is on the corner of 7th and Mission. My hotel room was on the third floor and on that corner. I was amazed at how quiet the room got at night. The shutters kept the light out very well. The decor of the hotel might be best enjoyed by people aged 20-30, but that doesn't mean you won't enjoy it if you are outside that range!

I stayed at the Good Hotel in mid-October in one of the rooms with two twin beds. It did remind me a bit of an IKEA-ish dorm room, but it worked fine for my room needs. The room was nicely remodeled, and I appreciated the ecofriendly vibe. Our only complaint with the hotel is that our room was closer to the street, and you could hear a lot of the tourists and street people. The service was great, and you couldn't beat the price! We were pleased that it was close to the BART, bus and street car stops, and very close to Market Street.

I was really happy to find this comfortable little motel in San Fran. It's in the SoMa area which is very well located to just about anything you want to do in the heart of SF. I was grateful for the free and safe parking (a big value in SF). The surrounding area is a little wierd at night, all the homeless streetpeople etc, but it is only a 5.00 cab ride to somewhere more walkable -and in the daytime, I had no troubles with the street people. I would stay here again.

The rooms were small but the beds super comfy and the room was nice and clean. The walls were thin, we could hear the people next to us. But as cheap as the hotel was, it was all forgivable. I spend so little time in my room when traveling that as long as the bed is comfy and the water pressure is good, I'm happy.

Hotel recently remodeled and updated; going for "green" eco-friendly market. Hotel seemed bare-bones or "sparse" when it came to luxury feeling. Great location, friendly staff; EXCELLENT value for money. Would stay there again if looking at budget locations,

Clean. Room was small, however they have done a nice job with refurbishing the hotel. Parking was TIGHT. Did not know we could park across street which may have had a bit more room. Breakfast was dry cereal and muffins or toast, but could be taken to your room (in fact probably need to cause room small). But for price -- fit our needs.

I went for some concerts at the Civic Center area which was a short walk from the hotel. The free hotel parking sold me. The hotel is very nice, very clean and upddated, and quiet even though in a busy area. It is a short walk to all the upscale parts of San Fran; it's just where it's located (someone previously called it ""transitional"" - perfect word!) is not always comfortable for nighttime walking. I walked back alone from the concert & had no problem with the congregations of homeless and otherwise crazy people on Market Street. I didn't use any public transportation, so I cannot comment.

This hotel is pretty good and pretty cheap. The best thing is the room has been divided into two single rooms that each of us can have a single room, which make me comfortable especially with my friend. I'll choose it next time.
