we felt that the male receptionist was very snobby . not friendly at all and it would of been nice to of been told that they take 150 euros of your card if you smoke in your room there was no mention of this and i thought someone had stolen my details as i did not know this is what they were doing!! and i dont smoke so thought that was really unfair and it takes 10 days for that money to be credited into my acc so feel i should of been informed of this transaction.

Great waterfront location with spectacular views. No spectacular view. The facility was nice but much smaller than the Holiday Inn with a smaller TV.

spa fitness room and breakfastit is always a pleasure to have a gym in a hotel but the equipment needs maintenance, the croos trainer was not working properly even so the running machine.the swimming pool needs a general cleaning many greasy spots and water liner level was covered at the far end with a dirty layer............can we trust the water?????????the shower was half working and the gutter was blocked..........!Dispite the beautiful design it has lack of control and cleaning. We called the housekeeper and they tried to solve the problem and very friendly staff.the breakfast price is a rip-off in recession times maby a good money maker for the hotel but for guest there is no choise for a la carte or smaller breakfast.

First class hotel with excellent service/location and wanderful breakfast.

Excellent room - we stayed in one of the panoramas and had a teriffic view over the water. Clean, new and modern. Good local secure parking facilities. Our only gripe was on the food in the on-site bar/restaurant "Water". Service was slow and unattentive and the quality of the food was average at best.

This hotel was good and staff were very helpful and when we checked in our AC was not working properly and once we notified the reception, they imediately upgraded our room to a superior room with absolutly beautiful furniture and view.

The most affordable of Rotterdam's expensive hotels, but a great location. right on a tram stop from the main station, and 5 minutes walk from a prime shopping/restuarant area and great harborside cafes. Also close to the museum quarter. Friendly staff with excellent English, room a bit small but a nice view directly of the harbor. pool was unformtunatly closed for maintenance, and we did not try the restaurant but it looked nice and had an interesting menu. overall worth a stay, but if you are on a budget you might look to other places.

A great hotel well up to Tulip standards with equally great staff. Super views, good location for shopping and the restaurant quarter, easy parking. Better than first class breakfast choice and quality.

Hotel was easy to reach and was welcoming, with courteous friendly service offered in all areas of the hotel, reception, bar restaurant, housekeeping etc. Standards were high throughout the hotel and cleanliness was obviously a priority . If I have one criticism it would be that the menu in the Restaurant could be wider as regards the choice available a few more main courses to chose from would be an advantage. Also nothing much available to suit children on the menu although this did not apply to us, another couple with children were experiencing difficulty in finding something to suit theie children.

A somewhat typical hotel, but good enough. The rooms were on the small side, but not too terrible. The staff was very courteous. I did have a slight problem with the shower leaking onto the floor, and very quickly someone was there with extra towels and an apology for faulty caulking. The restaurant is very good. Both dinner and breakfast was great, although a little pricey. Wireless internet for free throughout.

I can't rate food (as we didn't eat there due to the alternatives on the doorstep and the fact that we were visiting family who couldn't put us up). I can't rate family friendly as I don't have one to test out the concept. The room and hotel was very clean, quiet considering the hotel was full as the Rotterdam festival was on over the weekend and well located with a metro, bus and tram stop on the front door and the central station a 10 minute walk away. Parking a tad confusing as there were roadworks and a marathon being run outside but in normal circumstances there are very limited \"free\" spaces under the hotel and 15Euro a day spaces in the public (but secure and gated) car park under the bridge a 2 minute walk away.

The hotel is easy to get to either by car (motorway) or tram (from the railway station), overlooks the old harbour and the main river. 5 minutes walk to the Bourse and main shopping centre. Pleasant evening river walks to unwind.Staff very friendly and helpful. It is a city centre hotel and quite a good one. Interesting menu. Good parking for the city centre. We have returned to it several times. Value on a par with similar hotels in area, but this has the better location.

Generally OK, but beware the overpriced (€20) breakfast. Not very good value for a very limited buffet. The management had also failed to mention the rock festival that finished late at night. A good job I didn't have an early flight the following morning.
