Sidi Bou Said: The town is 3 Km far from Golden Tulip Carthage Tunis, it is a tourist attraction as it is known for the extensive use of blue and white colors of buildings all over the town. All kinds of souvenirs can be bought in the main street. Tourists from Hammamet and other tourist towns usually come to Sidi Bou Said. It can be reached by a TGM train. The village is quite small, and you can visit every street of the village in no more than two-three hours. On the top of the hill there is a beautiful view of the surrounding bay.
Palais du Baron Erlanger - Nejma ezzahra: Baron Rodolphe d'Erlanger was a French painter and musicologist specializing in Arabic music. He studied in Paris and London. His palace at Sidi Bou Said, in northern Tunisia, which he named Ennejma Ezzahra, was built between 1909 and 1921.[2] The structure now houses the Centre des musiques arabes et méditerranéennes. He helped to revive the musical genre known as ma'luf during the 1920s.
Carthage Roman Sites: Today, it is mainly Roman sites (theatres, temples, villas and baths), which can be seen in Carthage5 km far from Golden Tulip Carthage tunis. Among the highlights are the ruins of the Roman amphitheatre and the thermal Antonine Baths, which were once the largest baths built by the Romans. You can get a great view of Carthage by climbing the nearby Byrsa Hill, on which you'll also find the CarthageMuseum (tel. 1/34 10 77). The museum displays mosaics, sculptures and artifacts from the period before Carthage was destroyed by Rome in 146 BC. Also on Byrsa Hill is St. Louis Cathedral, built by the French in 1890 and dedicated to the 13th century saint-king who died on the shores of Carthage in 1270. It is now deconsecrated and used for concerts. Is a coastal town 2 Km far from Golden Tulip Carthage Tunis. The old summer capital of pre-colonial Tunisia, it is today a popular vacation spot for many middle class Tunisians. It is connected to Tunis by the TGM railway.
Souks: Outside of the official, quality and price, controlled Artisanat (handicraft) shops, where everything from carpets to birdcages bears a price tag, and carpets a stamp of origin and caliber, shopping in Tunisia is definitely an art. Located in the old city (the Medina), the Souks offer a selection of objects of unsurpassed beauty and distinction, excellent arts and craft and traditional work. A sharp eye, nerves of steel, a show of disinterest and a good sense of humour will make shopping a real pleasure. Inflated prices give both parties the pleasure of bargaining and a golden opportunity to exhibit your talent as an actor. Start by cutting the offer in half, then work up to a compromise if you are really interested. The choice is yours. Hand carved olive wood: Salad bowls, kitchen articles, vases, lamps and bracelets, all in beautiful, solid wood, each is distinctively different. This hard and durable wood needs only an occasional slight rubbing with oil to bring out the richness of its patterns. A natural gift from this Mediterranean land.
BardoMuseum: The Bardo, located in the suburbs of Tunis at about 15 Km from Golden Tulip Carthage Tunis, is in itself, an architectural landmark. Originally a 13th century Hafside palace, it has been restored and expanded throughout the centuries to become this superb example of Arab-Moslem. 17th and 18th century architecture and decoration with its vaulted ceilings, galleries and cupolas. How fitting also that the finest collection of Roman mosaics in the world should be housed in this delightful setting. Priceless acquisitions from all parts of the Tunisian territory have been collected and arranged by date and place of origin into departments corresponding to the main stages in Tunisia's history: Prehistoric era, Carthaginian era, Roman era, Christian era, Islamic era.
Carthage Golf Course: A brilliantly-designed golf course that winds through protected wetlands and rolls through former pastureland.
Carrefour: A shopping mall with a different point of view located at about five kilometres of the hotel, surrounded with residential and commercial buildings. Location being the most important aspect of a shopping mall, Carrefour is strategically placed to provide easy access to customers.
Carthage Festival: The Carthage Music Festival is the country's biggest arts event and mixes a programme of local and international sounds in the old Roman amphitheatre. The festival was founded in 1964 and has, over the years, attracted many of the greatest names in jazz music. The festival also includes many well-known African and world wide artists. Performances take place each summer in the old Roman amphitheatre which is incredibly atmospheric and a great place to see live music performed.
Dah Dah - Tunisia Happy LandEntertainmentPark: The DahDahPark was the first amusement park to open in Tunisia, dating from 1995. It is located near the cornice in the new suburb of the Berges du Lac which is developing between the airport and TunisLake (from Tunis, take the GP9, the road to La Marsa). This 11-hectare Luna-Park enjoys many indoor and outdoor rides and games (video game, billiards, baby-foot) for the kids (from 3 years-old), teenagers as well as their parents.
